Has anyone else bought a computer through this company? I recently got a Mac ibook through safelevel.com which was easy to use right away since they outgassed it for me. I have turned off the Wi Fi and Blue Tooth technology.

As for the EMF mumetal shielding which I paid $200 for, I am able to sit at this computer longer than my old one, which is worth a lot, but I wouldn't say I'm symptom free, as their ads claim. It usually depends on how many other exposures I've had during the day as to what I can stand from the computer.

I have an extended keyboard and mouse which I got from my local Apple store, often wear the grounded gloves sold by lessemf.com, and have a static control mat also from lessemf.com that I put my feet on, a Fellowes anti-radiation screen from Staples, often unplug the computer to work using only the battery, and often drape a metalic cloth from Walmart over my head like a burka. Occasionally, I'll take a walk outside bare footed to discharge.

I feel best if I unplug the scanner, printer, fax, phone, lamp, air filter and anything else near my work station.

I don't always do all of those things, unless I'm pulling a marathon of computer hours in a row.

I write and I guess you could say I can't imagine life without the computer! I want to do everything I can to keep being able to use one!

I'd love to hear from others who bought from Safe Level. My jury is still out on this one. I'm open to other suggestions, too.
