I fear that most people would not regard David Icke as a reputable source.
He was a mediocre British footballer, sports presenter and Green Party
member whose views became so bizarre that he was expelled and became a
general laughing-stock. Since then he has come up with equally outlandish
views but has managed to self-publicise and get significant acceptance, as
he can be quite a convincing speaker and writer. He claimed in a 1999 book
that the planet is being run by a New World Order controlled by a race of
reptilian humanoids called the "Babylonian Brotherhood", including most
world leaders. The phrase "Illuminati" in his newsletter below is a
giveaway. Interestingly, certain aspects of his views appeal to both the
extreme right and extreme left wing (but not anyone in between).

makes, but quoting him as a source would erode any credibility with most
ordinary people!
