Quantum Products has connected some version of their products
to the city power grid, but they were studying its effect on
air quality. See the very bottom of this page, titled
"Air Quality and Environmental Ecology":

But I suspect the reason is that nobody is interested in paying
to fix the problem, and I'm sure that many don't even believe that
there *is* a problem!
