Thanks everyone. Mulled over all your great feedback and
decided to go ahead and order more Stetzer filters--8 additional
for a total of 28. Also ordered 4 more Quantum power strips. This
will make 6 altogether -- 4 in the home office, one at the
entertainment center in the living room, and one in the kitchen. I'll
let you all know how it goes after the stuff arrives and we've
observed the results for a bit.
Just wanted to share with the group that the folks at Stetzer
Electric and at Quantum Products have been consistently super
helpful and supportive. Dave Stetzer has picked up the phone
numerous times to answer my beginner-level questions. Margy
Wilson at Quantum Products has answered questions about the
hard-to-find Mac versions of the Quantum Byte software. (Mac
users can special-order Quantum Byte for OS 9 or OS 10.2.x
They are still working on Quantum Byte for the most current Mac
OS; this is why a trial version is not available for download on
their website.)
All the helpfulness in the world doesn't matter, though, if the
products don't work... I should say that my husband has recently
experienced some unusually restful nights of sleep and
consequently has felt a little more energetic than usual. It's too
soon to draw real conclusions, but at the moment we are
inclined to credit the Stetzer filters. At any rate we feel it's worth
exploring further. Hence our plan to install more filters and see
what happens if we can bring our readings into the teens.
