There is a definite magnetic current when I put the meter next to the
AWG no. 2 wire that takes it to the ground rod. And that is even
when the TV is turned off. It sits right next to the TV. As I
stated before that I felt a definite current going through my fingers
when I held the wire in my hand just before connecting it to the
ground rod. I attributed this to the TV which was on at the time. I
think that since I felt this current in my fingers before I attached
it to the ground rod then it is definitely pulling something out of
the house and going to ground. But then again, I know really nothing
about this stuff and so I don't know what might be happening after
the wire is attached to the ground. I'm getting a reading of about
1.5 on the magnetic side when the meter is next to the wire grounding
the faraday cage and it drops to almost nothing only a few inches
away from the cage. I think the cage is safe. But still I will have
to do some testing to find out exactly what is going on once I get
those items you suggested I use to take measurements myself. Thanks.
