The stated method of operation of the QXCI machine and the intended principle behind it (scanning a wide range of frequencies to try to detect feedback from the body) seems very similar to both the Oberon and Raytheon machines. Unfortunately it was the Oberon machine which seemed to trigger Sue's ES in the first place, and she also got an odd reaction when she was tried on a Raytheon. Sue's symptoms (the buzzing) don't seem to be all that typical of "classic" ES so she may react differently.
