It might have to be a very specific peptide to give the "magic bullet" effect that John has reported. There are lots of different peptides, and lots of them are in our gut already. They are formed from chains of amino acids, which are the building blocks for proteins, and are one of the main digestive products in our gut. So, in one sense, nothing that startling about them!

Supplements providing peptides are likely to be trying to correct nutritional deficiencies or problems in digestion/absorption (by providing what we would normally get from digested protein in a form that's already broken down and may be easier for the body to take in).

The preparation supplied to John sounds as if it is intended to work on a completely different principle - to stop at source all the antibodies triggering uncontrollable allergic reactions that cause us problems. Probably that means a very specific mix of particular peptides, so it's unlikely that standard supplements would have anything like the same mix.

Will be very interesting to hear of John's future experience and that of other people if they try this! It would be a great idea if it worked. It might not work the same for everyone, as everyone's individual mix of symptoms, causes and sensitivities seems to be a bit different.

I just recalled that the company that produces the glutathione supplement
HMS-90 also has a peptide product. I have a bottle at home which I never
tried, so will give it a try. It is also inexpensive:
