I assume you are saying that you've noticed parents suffer ES less than
childless people? Or are you saying that when one becomes a parent (men and
women?), symptoms are reduced? I don't think that becoming a parent has not
had a noticeable effect on my sensitivity. I would say that all experience is
shaped by our perceptions and that parenthood changes the way one perceives
EVERYTHING. The intensity of the pregnancy/birth/parenthood experience does
make most other things seem less intese, simply in a relative sense.
Behavioural patterns (e.g. time spent in different environments) also change
and, as people on this list would know, this can have a very significant
effect. It is my suspicion that this could be the main reason for your
observations. However, as I think Marc mentioned, in women pregnancy has an
incredible effect on health. I always say that a woman's body will never work
as efficiently and amazingly as when she is pregnant. Obviously I have not had
this direct experience but I have seen it through my partner and many others.
The fact that an HIV positive woman can have an HIV free child is testimony to
this fact, in my opinion. Maybe there is something to what you say after all.
It's a mystery....

Subject: [eSens] ES with respect to parenthood
I know this question may seem far out, but I am wondering how many people
on the list have children?
In speaking with the many clients who contact us because of their
electrical sensitivity (or similar symptoms), we notice a reverse
correlation between parenthood and symptoms. Your guess is as good as mine
about which is the cause and which is the effect.
Any thoughts?
