I drive a 2009 Nissan Altima. It has been great up to this point. When I first got it I had to turn down my dashboard light brightness because it was causing my face to itch. When I did this it was great. No problems. 5 days ago I had to get my transmission replaced. I dropped it off at the dealer in the morning and it was done in the afternoon.Within a day I noticed that my face became itchy and I got a headache after a short time. I checked my dashboard lights and they are set at the levels prior to the transmission switch.I even turned them off completely. I am hoping it is a coincidence and the symptoms will pass. I have had symptoms in the past that have passed like watching TV.
Any thoughts as to why having a new transmission would cause symptoms or the installation process would cause something to cause symptoms? My alcohol consumption increased right around the time I had the trany replaced. |
Not everything is EMF based.
When the transmission on my boyfriend's car was fixed, I couldn't go in thecar for a year because of the solvents or something that had poisoned the car. --- In [hidden email], "jim64m" <jim65m@...> wrote: > > I drive a 2009 Nissan Altima. That's my thought... they love to spray solvents and spill fluids.
Keep the windows open for a while. Also put newspaper under and see if they created any new leaks. It's possible they updated some electronics. With alternators it can be a problem because the new regulator may use a higher frequency. I am going to go to the dealer and ask them if they changed any electronics. It only bothers me when the engine is running. There are no leaks thus far.

Is it the CVT type of transmission?
See how well the AM radio picks up stations. If there is more interference with the engine on, complain about that. Yes, It is a CVT transmission. That is what it had before. --- In [hidden email], Bill Bruno <wbruno@...> wrote: > > Is it the CVT type of transmission? > > See how well the AM radio picks up stations. > If there is more interference with the engine on, > complain about that. > > On Wed, Apr 21, 2010 at 10:36 AM, jim64m <jim65m@...> wrote: > > > > > > > I am going to go to the dealer and ask them if they changed any > > electronics. I wonder if the Quantum Autosense would help with this?

Possibly the Quantum AutoClear would help. I know that when I was really sensitive, this made an obvious difference. These days I'm not that sensitive, so it's difficult to discern any benefit based on the amount I drive. Marc |
oops, meant the autoclear

PUK replies - maybe they updated some sensors in the car ? or ran a wire in
a different location ? In a message dated 21/04/2010 17:37:28 GMT Daylight Time, [hidden email] writes: I am going to go to the dealer and ask them if they changed any electronics.
