PUK replies - Its both interesting and subjective this one - Most obviously
sounds are extremely emotionally evocative, associations both conscious
and subconcious will come into play leading to a cascade of emotions and thus
physical responces, why they should lead to negative ones may derive from
the fact that they are veiwed prior to listening with anxiety and suspician
and indeed they are eery to say the least. That said sound is a wave and
will be modulated/mixed with varying frequncies volumes etc rather like EMF
waves. In this case is it possible that when the ear converts sound to
electrical signals that receptors for the immune system pick up on the coding
and some how can recognise the conversion with limited clues, this makes
the immune response either very sharp or as in the case of many allergic
responces "over the top", is it possible that the brain stores a set of files
that are predictive/pre-emptive and by using some form of fuzzy logic then
indentifies the signal as freind or foe ???
However in my own experience of using an AM radio to demonstrate the Plasma
TV emissions swamping my home which sounds like an agressive Fax machine,
whilst this is necessary its a sort of devil you do dammend if you dont
scenario as it can reinforce and bolster a pavlovian conditioned responce if
you rely upon it to much, I some times hear similar sounds to the latter and
naerly jump out of my skin. But I make no appologies for this as it is
almost an ineviatble responce to a repetative cycle of pain and torture, by
2.15 pm today it starts all over again and then by 9pm its over, guantanimo
bay looks more favourite!!!!
