small survey

I would appreciate your feedback regarding the following issue which I was contemplating this morning...

Namely, I am rather sure I am able to tell blindly whether outside is cloudy, based on my greater discomfort if so... As I mentioned, much of the timeI am 4 meters under ground, so there is no way to distinguish weather objectively from that place. Some would say that this has to do with pressure, and such stuff, and is a kind of weather sensitivity (¨meteopathy¨)...But I am also even more convinced that Sun rise makes me feel better, whatis less likely to have such simple explanation... (By the way, for Moon I am not so sure but it appears to be afflicting, especially when high over the night...)

The most obvious for me is the comfort felt after Sun rises, which further develops as the Sun goes higher... And, strangely, just before the Sun rises, the discomfort is rather accented...
Has anybody observed anything similar? Also,any ideas regarding any theory to explain so?

Could be related to radiowave propogation due to atmospheric conditions ? =

That's what I was thinking. Although 4 meters underground...
well if there are wires going up to the surface the RF would
certainly get in, and maybe also without that. One also has to think about
vibrations caused by traffic etc ("infrasound").

We weather can also increase RF on power lines due to
sparking and corona.

Absolutely, anybody who has tried to receive AM radio when the
reflectivity of the D and F layers of the ionosphere are changing, at
sunrise and sunset, know the long distance stations bounce in, and
therefore increase the EMR levels.

Do I feel it, maybe. How I feel certainly goes up and down, but have I
pinned it down to AM propogation? hmmm, no. I have not really thought
about that angle.

There are too many closer emitters that can be discerned on a meter, or
by approaching and departing local locations, that concern me moreso.

May I suggest contacting the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia. The number for the Tour Center is 304 456-2150. Ask to talk to Mike Holstein (technical). The Observatory makes sure that the local AM radio station stops transmitting at sunset until sunrise due to the impact of the Ionosphere on the sensitivity of the telescopes in Green Bank. They may be able to explain the phenomena you are experiencing.
