I'm curious to see what it feels like to sleep on an earthed bed using a
wall socket ground. The grounding rod method has worked for me and I'm not going to redo anything with that since it is working for me. But I wish to experiment further on a different bed using the other method. Does anybody know where I can buy or better yet have a link to where I can but something that plugs into the ground in the wall socket that I can attach a wire to? Thanks for any help. |

Hi Denom, I am now sleeping with both the in ground grounding wire, and the plug-in grounding wire. The sleeping earthed people don't recommend this, but it is working great for me. Let me explain. We used the long, 30 ft, grounding cord and ground stake, that came with that expensive mattress pad that I bought,to ground our regular mattress pad and the bottom sheet on our bed. That worked great, but I felt like I had to sleep in my birthday suit to get the full advantage of it. I then bought the following: Alligator clip on one end, 3-prong safety plug on other end: Grounding Cord, 3-prong/gator (Cat. #A295-3) ........................... $6.00 I bought this from the Emf site that has been listed here before. With shipping it cost $8.00. I then got the bright idea that I could ground my bed clothes and wouldn't have to sleep naked. So I used the grounding wire listed above, which has a single ground prong on one end and an alligator clip on the other end...clipped it on to my pajama top and plugged it in to the wall socket. It worked just great. Now, I am still getting the benefits of being grounded, and receiving free electrons through my feet, but I am also now personally grounded. But here is the really interesting part...and I cannot explain this, I just know that it is true. What I am wearing to bed, and clipping to the grounding wire must have some Polyester fiber in it. You cannot ground 100% cotton. You can ground a cotton, Polyester blend. You cannot ground Cotton and Rayon. You cannot ground wool. You cannot ground clothing that has any metal on it, like a metal zipper. You can ground 100% Polyester. I have come to the conclusion that it is the Polyester fill in the mattress pad I bought that moves the free electrons up the grounding wire and makes them useful to our bodies, rather than the carbon fibers in the fabric. I don't want to offend anyone, but we are getting just as good results from grounding our Polyester blend mattress pad and sheet as we were from the expensive mattress pad with the carbon fibers when we were using it. The tag on the expensive mattress pad says 100% Polyester fill. My husband has since made for me,two more of these grounding wires with the attachments mentioned above. They are really simple to make. I thought they would cost a lot less than the one I bought, but ours cost about the same as theirs. The ones we made are identical to the one we bought. There has been a lot of things written on this eSens group list about whether or not one can pick up negative energies with an outside grounding wire staked into the Earth. Let me make it very clear that the one we used and the one that sleepingearthed sells is not just a simple grounding wire, but a "shielded grounding wire." This being the case, I don't see how the energy flowing in either direction through it could be contaminated in any way. In fact, the stake that the sleeping earthed people use has two 1 ft. long prongs...one attached to the inner grounding wire and one attached to the shield. There is also a cap on it that I assume shields the stake itself. I'm pretty sure that the double stakes are made out of Aluminum. I didn't check it with a magnet before we put them in the ground so I can't be positive, but they appeared to be brushed Aluminum. I hope this helps to clarify this debate. I really wish that everyone interested would read the wealth of material found on the sleeping earthed site, whether you choose to buy their products or not. I think if one would take the time to actually read what the inventor says, many, if not all, fears and misinformation could be put to rest. http://www.sleepingearthed.com Best Regards, Phyllicia - In [hidden email], "quaixemen" <denom@...> wrote: > > I'm curious to see what it feels like to sleep on an earthed bed using a > wall socket ground. Thanks for all the information. I will redo my cable and use different rods for the shielding on the cable and the copper wire inside the cable. Can't do it today cause it is toooooo cold outside.

Hi Phyllicia,
Well that goes against their theory that natural fibers are the only ones that can ground us. I wonder what the founder of sleeping earthed would say. I find that it makes no difference if i am on the pad directly or sitting on a sheet with clothes on. I find that i do get grounding through cotton and cotton/poly blends,
but not through the poly covered comforter. Paul |

OVER THE WEEKEND I MADE MY OWN DEVICE THAT PLUGS INTO THE WALL SOCKET. THAT IS BECAUSE I COULD NOT WAIT. I HAVE A DEDICATED OUTLET OR TWO IN THE LIVING ROOM. I DETACHED THE HOT AND NEUTRAL WIRES AT THE BOX AND LEFT THE GROUND WIRE CONNECTED. I'LL NEVER USE THESE OUTLETS AS THE ELECTRICITY IS TURNED OFF IN THE LIVING ROOM. I BOUGHT WHAT I NEEDEDFROM A HARDWARE STORE AND PUT SOME METALLIC CLOTH UNDER THE COUCH AND ALLIGATOR CLIPPED IT SO IT IS CONNECTED TO THE GROUND. THE COUCH IS GROUNDED NOW. MY STRATEGY IS TO BLOCK AS MUCH HARMFUL FREQUENCIES FROM THE ATMOSPHERE AS POSSIBLE AND AT THE SAME TIME TRY TO BRING IN SOME GOOD ENERGY FROM THE EARTH. EVEN IF IT ONLY MAKES A LITTLE BIT OF A DIFFERENCE. [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

Hi Denom,
So, how is your couch feeling now? Comfortable? When we made our new ground wire attachments, we cut off the neutral and hot prongs on the plug rather than disconnecting the wires within the electrical box. I started out with the $289. mattress pad from from Sleeping Earthed, and used it with the $29 plug-in of theirs. I actually think that I am getting just as good if not better results with my simple plug-in grounding wire. The reason that the Sleeping Earthed plug-in is so much more expensive is because they use a shielded ground wire with theirs. I don't know what noise you and they are referring to. I don't get any noise. The other reason that the Sleeping Earth plug-in is more expensive is that it has a couple of green lights to let you know that you are actually connected with the ground wire in your house. It definitely is much fancier than our home made ones. It remains to be seen if it is more effective. Our sleepingearth plug-in is out on loan right now. When we get it back I may be able to compare it better now that I have some experience with the whole concept. Hi Paul,
Well, you are right and I am wrong. I am now able to get grounded through 100% cotton and even a cotton rayon blend. I don't understand why I couldn't before. I am testing it on clothing that I am wearing on my body at the time. I notice that it seems to matter where on the garment I attached the grounding wire. I plan to send a grounding wire to my grandson. Going by his sleeping habits and sleepwear we decided that it would work best to attach the groundingwire to his 100% Polyester comforter. I hope that it works out for him. He hasto use the indoor, outlet plug because he lives in an apartment building. The comforter that you were unable to ground...was it 100% Polyester? You called it Poly coated. Can you give me more information about that? Thanks, Phyllicia Phyllicia Hutchinson <[hidden email]> wrote: Paul, Interesting! I wonder why you do and I don't? A tag says "resin treated polyester fiber dry clean only."

Paul,
I'm not sure I know what you mean by "points." If you mean where on the garment to attach the grounding wire, then, it seems to be an area on the garment that actually touches my body, rather than say, a hem that is not touching. But that doesn't seem to be a hard and fast rule either. I am beginning to think that because we are dealing with energy that our intention and belief has a lot to do with it. Scientists are now discovering that when dealing in quantum physics, the Life Force, energy, God particles, Adamantine particles or Unified Field, whatever you wish to call it, can be manipulated by our thoughts, intention and beliefs and who knows what else? I think that my change from not being able to ground 100% cotton to being able to, had to do with a change in me because of you. Thank you very much. I reasoned that if Paul could do it then, there is no reason why I can't do it also. Consequently, my whole grounding experience has gotten even better. In the Book of Proverbs, we read "That as a man thinks in his heart, so is he." Therefore, those who think we are fooling around with something dangerous will find proof that it is dangerous. But to us who find it exciting, fun, and greatly beneficial, we are reaping benefits from it. I intend to go wherever my inner guidance takes me, and to listen to those, like you, who are also experiencing positive results from this exciting new Science. Since, I once had serious health problems from sensitivity to electricity, and I don't suffer from it anymore, then I know that following my own inner guidance and the strong desire to get well has served me well. Very interesting, Phyllicia. I sometimes wonder if worrying about
all the things that could go wrong makes it worse. But when things work i enjoy myself and feel opptomistic, like i do these days.
