Hi everyone,
After reading some of what has been written here in the forum, I decided to take herbs supplements to perhaps detoxify myself. I take a daily shot of wheat grass juice every morning, two hours before breakfast on an empty stomach, and twice a day during meals LIVAMAX which has "Milk thirstle w/ dandelion root" in it, + some enzymes. this I am told is good for ridding the liver from all kinds of toxins. Well, after a few days the following happened: 1. I had a very strange problem, I could not sleep for three whole nights. My body felt like it was ON and buzzing, I just could not sleep, and I also did not feel tired. after third night of this, I got a bit scared (hey, I am a good sleeper), I decided to stop the wheat grass and I slept ok last night. now, this could also be due to stress, I am working hard on my PhD now, and scared that my health issues will prevent me from holding a deadline. Has any body had sleep disorder because of ES, and particularly while taking supplements? I don't mean sleeping to much, I mean sleeping to little! 2. I developed a bitter taste in my mouth. I feel it in the back of my mouth. this is new to me, should I be alarmed? can it be related? Its quite amazing, but the people in this forum are the only ones in the world I can think of to ask these questions, since this ES is still not recognized anywhere. Thank god for Internet and its community building possibilities. And thanks for your time, HIllel |
Hello Hillel, Sleep disorder is very much related to ES. I think you may be the exception to the rule if you are ES but a good sleeper. My husband's worst ES symptom is that he has NOT had refreshing sleep for over five years... He is exhausted and painful all the time as a result. You are very lucky. Your reaction to the wheat grass is similar to what my husband experienced from taking a "green" supplement called Green Magma. It is supposed to have an energizing effect - as a result my husband could not sleep at night, even if he took only half the recommended dose and took it early in the morning. Perhaps you could try taking a smaller dose? Whatever you do, I recommend taking extra care to protect the quality of your sleep. One thing my husband has learned at great cost is that no work deadline or goal is ever important enough to sacrifice his health. Hi hillel,
Have been wanting to write you, maybe you can try bathing in the Death Sea, if that is close enough to you. I feel many of us have kundalini related problems. When all burst loose in my case i spent 3 weeks without sleep. The buzzing was the least of my problems. Read about kundalini rising. Read the adishakti site, and if you think it might be it start purifying the way they do in India before (I did not and had hell to pay) (one site is www.elcollie.com/st/st.hml. Issue 25 about herbs and supplement is useful for all of us.. In my opinion a lot of disorders and diseases are kundalini related and fibromyalgya is one of them. (again that Dead Sea). At a certain level you get sensitive to vibrations and boy did I reach that level. Brewers yeast (vitamin B complex) and goldenseal are the ones I always stick with. Vitamin B complex especially should you get into an akashic state and pray, invoking the violet flame I AM a being of Violet fire I AM the purity God desires as much as you can. tachyon has been a powerful help and protection. I will try Happy Souls next and organ specifics (Green matrix sounds promising, but just silica disks have gotten me much better www.tachyon-partners.com/healingcostarica. The key is to get enough harmonic energy, ie more harmonic than disharmonic. Try finding a tachyon practitioner in your area (if you want I can ask them where the nearest one is). Do the work, the more blocks you remove the less resistance the kundalini flow will have, the less it will shake your system. Build up your nervous system with goldenseal and drops or teas with eg. peppermint, passionflower st johns worth, valerian. In the health food store they will have something they usually call it to calm the nerves, ok and it strengthens them and believe me you want a strong nervous system. Any fear is not good (now is the time to cast out the spirit of fear and fill yourself with love and joy, and this is not easy). the universe will provide. I thought my life was over, but now i realise there was no way I was gonna loose my freedom, as I had never known freedom. The key was to stop thinking. Control the second mind, you are going to be the one controlling your mind, but your mind might act up when it is about to lose. Yes, I've found several foods and supplements that do the same thing to me. I always stop taking anything that does this to me. You may be stirring up the toxins in your body, but you need to do more than that -- you need to get them out of your body safely. You'd be much better off taking something that mostly binds to toxins which are already in your bloodstream -- antioxidants, activated charcoal, psyllium husks, seaweed, etc. > 2. I developed a bitter taste in my mouth. I think most people call this a "metallic taste" in your mouth. I experience this often. This is supposedly heavy metals being released. While this is a good sign that you are doing something to release heavy metals from your cells, you must also find a way to do this comfortably and also to get those metals to leave your body. Again, the items listed above would help in that. I have personally found that the supplements Megahydrin/Microhydrin/Active H- are good at making me feel better when I've taken something which has mobilized too many toxins (e.g., when I get that bitter taste in my mouth). I think this is because it binds with the toxins so that they can be safely eliminated from the body without adverse effects. But there are lots of fruits and vegetables which also have antioxidants, so you could experiment. Carrots, for example have lots of beta carotene. Marc |

I've had a recurring problem where my right eyelid has "spasms", and these problems go away when I take Vitamin B12. Marc |
Vitamin B-12 injections have been very helpful to my husband. Taking B-12 in pill form did not have an effect. > B-12 in pill form did not have an effect. Yes, but which brand did you use? :-) As a result of trying lots and lots of supplements and seeing various practitioners, I've come to the conclusion that there are different types of supplements: 1) the supplements sold in mainstream grocery stores, which are probably worthless 2) the supplements sold in health food stores, which are sometimes okay, but in too many cases are also worthless 3) the supplements sold by multi-level marketing companies, which are too expensive and sometimes difficult to get, but are usually pretty good. 4) the supplements sold by health professionals (chiropracters, alternative medicine practioners), which are usually pretty good, but are difficult to get. I personally only seem to have a reaction to "natural" supplements -- that is, supplements that are close to their food forms. Chemical forms of vitamins or rock-derived minerals have no beneficial effect for me. So, when you say that B12 pills have no effect, I assume you mean that some artificial form of B12 has no effect. It would be interesting to see how he did using a natural B12 supplement. For example, Standard Process makes a product called "Cataplex B12". I think Standard Process makes the most effective supplements (overall) of any company, because most everything they sell is natural. For example, read what is written about Cataplex B12: http://www.usaplaza.com/scripts/wcom_producttree.asp?StoreID=1340&ProductID=47309 The problem with Standard Process is that the company does not want its products sold over the Internet, or in stores. They want a doctor to "prescribe" it to you. Fortunately there are some ways around this. In my case, I have a local pharmacy/dispensary that breaks this rule, and will sell Standard Process supplements to anybody. Or, you can find websites which break the rules. Once such site is spinelife.com . Another good thing about Standard Process is that their supplements are pretty inexpensive. Marc |

hI,
especially when you are not tired, do not worry about losing sleep. of course if you are exhausted it is another thing. Bitter taste might also be gall, happened to me on occasion. Just spit it out, throw up if you have to and rinse. Your body is stronger than you might think. Also there is other (some wouldsay more positive) ways of resting your brain. meditation is one, shuttingoff that mind. (The same one that tells you you need sleep. I mean, those yogis again, prove to us you do not need food, not air to live, they can stop their heart. Then the lesson is it IS all in the mind, the universe IS mental. Go with your gut feeling to, do not waver, do not think too much. You feel this is the right supplement take it. Turns out not so good (judgement), try again. controlling the mind is more important. Letting go of judgement, this is to others, the world, our life, but mainlyourselves is the key. Very hard, but it is eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (judgement) that made us lose our Eden (darn eve had toeat that apple;0)). paradise on earth can be attained through controlling your mind, until there is no more judgement. then heaven and earth (mind and body) renew themselves as we were promised. 4 agreements of Don Miguel Ruiz, good book to read 1. Be impeccable with your word 2. Do not take anything personally 3. do not make any assumtions 4. always do the best you can (HMMmm this book got me into this mess, but i see now it is gonna be worth it!! advise not to do this too abrupt, just slowly change your take on life.) Respectfully I must disagree with some of what I think is being said here. I agree that intuition can be very helpful to us as we are learning to manage ES. But intuition can also be wrong. If your body tells you that a supplement is good for you, I believe that advice is as good as anyone else's (perhaps better) but some of us are still in the process of learning how to read the signals that our own bodies send us. In the meantime, we need to continue to use our judgment. As we learn to listen to our bodies and intuition more, we do not need to turn off our brains altogether. I think we need to strike a balance in this, as in most things. What concerns me most is the advice not to worry about sleep. ("Do not think, your body is stronger than you might think, it is all in the mind.") This is exactly the sort of thinking that got my husband into the mess he is in now. Like most overachieving workaholics, my husband did not understand or accept that his body is finite. He did not think he was tired either, at first but that was one of the tricky effects of the EMFs, he would get buzzy from it and then crash later on. The crash may not happen right away either. For years my husband was able to will himself to keep up the pace, never stopping to address any health issues. Now, at great cost, he is finally learning to pay attention to his body's limitations. I accept some of the responsibility too, for not paying attention or intervening more effectively as my husband gradually became ill. My advice to Hillel is: if your body is in pain, tired, whatever please, listen to it. It's trying to tell you something that your mind may be slower to understand. In our case, one of the most important messages was that something in our environment (EMF) was hurting my husband. We are now, finally, taking steps to remedy this situation. But I wish we had paid attention sooner. Good judgment and intuition would BOTH have helped us here. Another way to approach this is to eat foods that are rich in B group
vitamins. This way you don't have the absorption problems that occur with tablets or capsules. Fish, fish oil... Also brown rice (go for organic or BD) is a rich source of Bs. Even commercial breakfast cereal is better than tablets!! Here in Aust at least they all have B vits added. Here's a good link - no doubt there would be others to. http://www.penpages.psu.edu/penpages_reference/12101/121012508.html Cheers Sarah -----Original Message----- From: Marc Martin [mailto:[hidden email]] Sent: Thursday, 3 February 2005 6:50 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: Re: [eSens] Re: B vitamins > Vitamin B-12 injections have been very helpful to my husband. My response to this is that when the liver or/and kidneys are
overstimulated one does not sleep. This sleep problem as a result of taking some remedy has happened to me on many occasions and so I am careful what I take, and when. For example, milk thistle is an extremely powerful liver tonic and anti-oxidant which should only be taken in the morning, if at all. It is an extremely bitter herb which is probably why you ended up with a bitter taste in your mouth! Any liver tonic should always be taken only in the morning, as this is when the liver can process substances. (likewise, sweet stuff should only be in the PM) If I were to take milk thistle in the PM I certainly would not expect to be able sleep!! Actually its an extremely effective remdy for migraines to. The buzzing sensetion is something that I have noticed if the kidneys are overstimulated. Peppermint tea is a good antidote for either liver or kidney O/S - but ditto re the AM and PM. The best appraoch is not to take anything after midday - unless it's a flower essence or something that you are using to conterract a negative reaction. I just couldn't exist without my 'White Yarrow' flower essence though; four drops acts as an antidaote to just abuot anything - its brilliant stuff. Its available here locally, but if anyone is interested pls contact me off-line as I do not wish to post this person's contact details publicly without their permission. And thanks for your time, HIllel Yahoo! Groups Links |

PS: With regard to my last posting I should say that there is also "Pink
Yarrow' for psychic protection, and 'Special Formula' which is specifically for EMR protection. It was devised by a couple (who practice in flower essences) in California for the victims of Chernobyl. It works really well. -----Original Message----- From: Hillel Wahrman [mailto:[hidden email]] Sent: Thursday, 3 February 2005 4:27 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: [eSens] sleep disorder and bitter taste in the mouth Hi everyone, After reading some of what has been written here in the forum, I decided to take herbs supplements to perhaps detoxify myself. Melatonin is disrupted by EMF. Melatonin is secreted by the pineal
gland, sets the body clock, is an essential anti-oxidant, prevents cancers, and many other things. Type in Melatonin on the web and you can get all kinds of info. If I take it (only right before bed because it knocks me out) it usually makes me feel very groggy in the morning. It is great for travelers in reseting the body clock. I have also taken 5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan) which supports Serotonin synthesis which wakes you up in the morning (with the help of light) and gives you that bright feeling. Serotonin is important for the production of Melatonin and is used as an anti-depressant. I haven't gotten great results from my experimentation with these supplements. Does anyone have any good info on this? Andrew |

yes, and this goes for all of them (gonna sprout some barley and cook some up as well), the stack of supplements is not really the thing for me, athough i had fun loading them up with my silica disk. Brewers yeast and goldenseal are staying, the rest is already only on intuition. Marc which brand of brewers yeast did you test for ?? ;))) Sorry could not resist.
But a question, Glenn maybe you could write me what you know about the opening of the heart chakra?? Any potions that I can take or other pointers?? Because that seems to be the thing nearing. Whhooaa, now I wish i had not read carlos Castanedas book, seem like la Gorda when she lost her human form.. Guess I just see what happens, no need to go pray at the clinic to wait for my fake infarto. Whatever it is at least it is moving out, plop, in the heart region (and other places.) Taking > B-12 in pill form did not have an effect. For example, read what is written about Cataplex B12: http://www.usaplaza.com/scripts/wcom_producttree.asp?StoreID=1340&Produc tID=47309 The problem with Standard Process is that the company does not want its products sold over the Internet, or in stores. Marc Yahoo! Groups Links --------------------------------- Yahoo! I have enjoyed reading the links about Cobalt and B12. I love what I've
read about the Pineal gland being related to this. Great stuff. It made me go back and get out "Detoxification" by Hal Huggins. He says Vit. B12 can convert inorganic or the vapor forms of mercury into methyl mercury (which is a 100x's more damaging because its ability to cross the placental barrier, blood brain barrier, nerve tissue or any other tissue that is supposed to form a barrier from entrance of damaging substances. B-12 from food does NOT create this havoc, but in shots, intravenous solution or pills, it best to be avoided. http://www.championtrees.org/topsoil/b12coblt.htm The implication for humans subsisting on vegetarian diets are profound. B12 synthesis by indigenous bacteria is known to occur naturally in the human small intestine, primary site of B12 absorption. As long as gut bacteria have cobalt and certain other nutrients, they produce B12. In principle then, internal B12 synthesis could fulfill our needs without any B12 provided by diet. But if cobalt in our diet is on the wane, perhaps the problem isn't so much lack of B12-synthesizing intestinal flora as lack of cobalt, the element with which bacteria weave their magic. http://www.championtrees.org/topsoil/index.htm The simple truth of B12 is neither we, nor animals, nor plants, make B12. It is produced only by bacteria. B12-producing bacteria dwell not only in our own intestines and intestines of ruminants (cattle, deer, camels, sheep), but also in the intestines of Earth itself: soil. B12 is the only vitamin synthesized solely by microorganisms. And the only enzyme containing trace element cobalt. In fact, B12-producing bacteria can't synthesize B12 without cobalt. B12 owes its chemical name—cobalamin—to the cobalt core of its molecular structure. Cobalt is an essential element for humans and all vertebrates—but only assimilated in the form of B12. So are reports of high B12 analogue ("false B12") in vegetarian fare, says Gray. Asked what factors are identified as causing increased analogues, Gray cites various environmental factors: HEAVY METALS AND CHLORINE in municipal water, soil mineral imbalances and deficiencies, and food refining, especially since niacin and riboflavin are required for bacterial synthesis of true B12. Moreover, says Gray, "evidence, though incomplete, suggests B12 content of both animal and vegetable foods is on a downward trend." So if I get this straight, we need Cobalt, Niacin (B-3) and Riboflavin (B-2) so our small intestine bacteria can produce it, right? So does the Kefir that I make at home have the right kind of bacteria to make B12? And does that same bacteria change mercury into methyl mercury? Anybody have any answers? Andrew |

hi Hillen, Some practical thing to do which may help your insomnia would be buying a Camembert or Brie cheese made from raw milk accompanied by raw milk kefir or berries or raw honey or a blend of citrus juice/carrot juice 1:1. The cheese has to be ripe and creamy looking as cheese in the step two in the link I am sending you. I recommend you do not refrigerate it, just keep it in a fresh and clean place (25 celsius). Refrigeration kills the charm of the cheese, unless you do not plan to eat it in days. Camembert cheese is a mineral and enzyme rich food. The minerals come from the milk solids being concentrated 10 times to make this cheese and the enzymes from the maduration time aprox 4 weeks. This blend; bacteria, enzymes and minerals, in my opinion, are a insomnia remedy. 200 to 300 grams at evening may do the effect. 100 might! By the way, only raw milk cheeses can receive the fromage fermier AOC label which is the highest quality label for a cheese in France. http://www.deliaonline.com/cookeryschool/howto/how_0000000004.asp -------- I had an intense detoxifying episode lasting one year when I started a powerful detoxifying and healing diet consisting of living spirulina, raw meat, raw dairy, raw eggs and raw liver and living fermented stuff, I could not sleep during the night for the entire year, every day. Instead, I used to sleep during the morning after six a.m. to noon, every day, incredible! Also, I have been suffering from chronic insomnia since childhood. Vinny Pinto*** recommend me ingesting calcium and magnesium supplements and trace minerals for my insomnia. His recommendation was vague since he did not detailed which supplements and in which way I should take them****. So I had to experiment with myself. I started with coral calcium, followed by some kind of calcium clays, followed by chewable calcium carbonate and clays. All worked relieving my long lasting insomnia, I haven't had that crazy insomnia ever since. However, the high dose of this mineral supplements can easily lead to constipation in a lot of people like myself, that is why is highly recommended not to follow this mineral supplementation unless it is accompanied by long fermented foods or beverages. *** someone I would recommend for these cases in which one cannot go to the medical doctor in town nor go to visit grandma , Vinny consults by telephone or even e-mail. He come up with this powerful relieve for insomnia for me. **** he will surely give you more details for your specific case if you consult him. I did not consult him, that tip was just his commentary. I have no interest in recommending Vinny, he is not my relative nor my friend. In my opinion, he has a lot of knowledge in these issues dealing with healing realm, the energy realm, etc, specially insomnia, healing, detoxing, EMF, and energies. Also in my opinion, he is "highly" spiritually "advanced" I recommend him because I intuit he could help you, though no guarantees. The long fermented stuff is the problem. It is hard finding in the market those foods. All the fermented stuff I have used for this issue are homemade, and their fermentation times start at 9 days to one month or even more. And yet, starting good probiotic supplements might cause even more or even tougher cleansing/detox reactions. Flavio |

Supplements made me worse I would like to thank many of you who have responded to my earlier posting regarding metallic taste in my mouth, and sleep disorder. I did not reply since my condition has grown worse for some days now, and have been on a retreat trying to recover. This might sound funny, but I am at least glad that something has any effect on my symptoms, so to demystify this condition, and apply to it logic and reasoning. In other words, make sense of what activates it, and perhaps later on what might correct it. I feel good enough right now to write, and to sleep well, but still not back to normal. I have been taking some food supplements the past two weeks I have been telling you all about. The main is LIVAMAX which has in it "Milk thistle" and "Dandelion root", and also wheat grass. That got my body buzzing and awake (sleep disorder) and I could feel every cell and nerve in my body vibrating. It was a systematic sensations, all over all my body. I can't stop wondering if this is good or bad. Then the metallic taste in the mouth. After a few days I started to feel a pricking sensation on my face, WHICH I THEN REMEMBERED ACCURED WHEN THIS WHOLE ES syndrom STARTED! I now remember that my es started half a year ago when I got a new VDT screen to my computer, and my face heated up and lightly burned , and after two days of this, I got ES so badly I could not go out into the sun. I have reason to believe I was sensitive to chemicals from the new screen that have evaporated into the room, triggering this condition. During the months since my ES has developed the burning in my face has diminished, and so did my ES symptoms. Taking this food supplement now had re-triggered it, and my ES has gotten worse again. My interpretation of all this is that the supplements seemed to be stirring metals in my body, causing reoccurrence of old forgotten symptoms. chemicals in my body were stirred, mobilized, but are not flushed out. I am therefore trying to compose a list of supplements and foods who would not only detoxify the cells, but will bind with the newly freed metals and chemicals in the blood stream, and get rid of them through the natural channels. I would like to go into a systematic regime if taking some of these, I'll need to choose between them. This is what I got so far: 1. Activated charcoal 2. Psyllium husks, 3. Seaweed I suggest to prepare a list of these, and post them in the file section of this group. I will be slow at this because I cannot sit in front of a computer for too long. Even the external key board is bothering me with its low radiation. I also suffer from trigger points that give my RSI, known also as fibromyalgia .which I hope will improve too. Can you help me form this a list of supplements, or natural foods? These should specifically deal with flushing heavy metals out from the body, not just general feel good stuff. I feel optimistic, and also empowered by the knowledge I receive here. Thank you all for your contribution. If (once) I feel better I should find ways to find other sufferers here in Israel and help them out, We are still too alone, Thanks, Hillel --- In [hidden email], "Marc Martin" <marc@u...> wrote: > > On Wed, 2 Feb 2005 19:27:13 +0200, "Hillel Wahrman" > <whillel@h...> said: > > > > I take a daily shot of wheat grass juice every morning > > I don't recommend wheat grass juice -- I think it mobilizes > too many toxins into your bloodstream, but does nothing > to get them out of the body.
