response to Nil re. safer computer setup

SArjuna
What I did myself was more simple. I got a laptop which I use only on
the battery, never evesr plugged in. I compose a lot of my e-mail messages
offline and send them later to minimize the time i have the phone cord plugged
in to the computer. Both the phone cord and the electric cord bring the
damaging high frequencies into the computer and thus into the user.

I had a worse and worse time using a regular computer. It was clearly
affecting me a lot. So it was worth it for me to invest in the laptop. If
you can afford one, I highly recommend it.

I also use an attached mouse so I don't have to keep my hand on the
computer when I am reading stuff on websites, my mail, etc. Much lower fields.
I have conductive fabric under the mouse only, running down onto the floor
and away. This has to be checked with a meter to be sure you have less field.
When I first set it up I had the conductive fabric running to the left,
towards a wall, and it turned out that the wiring in the wall was radiating a
field that the fabric picked up and brought back up to me! Another instance
of how grounding can go wrong.
I was getting spasms, so checked and found the problem. I should have
checked when I set it up. Always check with a sensitive electric field
meter.
Now the fabric runs off to the right, where there is no field to pick
up.

Shivani
