hi Ian, yes i think we're all padding around the same areas. L-
glutathione has been of interest to me for a while, as i have said in previous emails. I don't feel the need to supplement with it a great deal at the moment, but i did take stacks of whey protein for a good few months last year which helped alot at the time and which is connected in some way i think to L-G synthesis, tho' i can't remember the details. I don't take so much now though I really like the taste of l- glutathione (i go alot on taste now), like a creamy Vitamin C, seems a much gentler detoxifier. I was also intersted to read somewhere that Selenium is connected with L-G synthesis. I had a Selenium deficiency, as well as B12 at the beginning of my illness. And its interesting that both of those substances produce a quite pronounced (negative?/detoxing?) effect when i take them, though I am better with the B12 since moving to wales. on the subject of supplements i'm drawn towards: I could drink gallons of my BioCare Vit E drops, i have to stop myself, worried as usual about build up of stuff in my system, or cravings for certain things masking other deficiencies. The other thing i could eat stacks of is the mega GLA capsules i have, yet i have no desire at all to eat either Vit D capsules or omega 3 fish oil capsules. Yet i read over and over again that omega 3s are what we really need, and specifically EPA. I'm better with eating mackrel when it comes to omega 3, though i should eat more. I tend to get to the real craving and headachey/neckachy stage before i get some and then it makes me feel SO much better. sorry, i'm going off on a tangent (maybe i DO need more fish oils!). The magnesium continues to be a very useful sleeping aid. I'm visiting Brighton at the moment and last time i was here i had to have the leccy off at night, but this time i don't need to, and this could be as a result of the mag i've been taking nightly in wales, tho' have only taken one dose here in brighton. Or it might just be the different season, lots of sun giving my system a boost. I don't know. What i do know is that my whole metabolism, and symptoms alter when i change location,ie Wales-Brighton. The best bit about being in brighton is the dryness and high pressure of the climate compared to wales. Damp is not good, methinks. And its such a relief to have a break from that fucking transformer. It really is well-bad, on account of the simple fact that its impossible to protect myself from its effects. In brighton i'm sleeping in a room with a mast signal that is almost as strong as it gets but I can PROTECT myself from it at night and it makes all the difference(in the daytime theres the RF- lite basement). Magnetic fields are in themselves probably less damaging to me in low concentrations than low concentrations of RF 'rays', but the fact that Mag fields cannot be stopped infact makes them in a way a more important factor to consider. I'm not saying i want to come back to brighton, mind. I've only been here 5 days, and that thing of not being able to find ANYWHERE, especially outdoors where i'm not exposed, is slowly but surely grinding me down. Sulphates, i'm going to have to look that up in my new nutrients book now, though annoyingly i haven't got it with me in Brighton. cheers j --- In [hidden email], "Ian Kemp" <ianandsue.kemp@...> wrote: > > Hi Canary, > > - Its interesting that sue is finding magnesium helpful too. Hey J,
Just some more "food" for thought along these lines. A couple of supplements I've had good results with are the Glutathione Precursors mix and the pH Buffers mix from CFS Nutrition (www.cfsn.com). The Glutathione Precursors mix helps some folks avoid issues they have had like metabolic imbalance or overrapid detoxing from placing concentrated L-glutathione directly into the system. The mix gives your cells the components they need to make the glutathione they need on their own. The mix also helps avoid digestive problems when taking one of the components, NAC, by itself. The pH Buffers mix contains magnesium citrate and potassium citrate in a 3:2 ratio and lets one get magnesium and potassium in an easily absorbable form while balancing the pH.
