Shivani replies:
If there is electrical current on the terra firma where you live, you
cannot safely ground to it without bringing in the damaging high frequencies.
If you have no metal near the terra firma, and you do not ground to the
metal beams, etc. of the trailer, you may be able to avoid the current coming
in via those routes presently. However, the electrons can certainly jump
from the terra firma to the metal siding of your trailer. Water pipes, phone
lines and tv cables are other routes they come in via. You can take
readings on these to see if there are electric fields present, but you willneed a
good electric field meter to do it, not a Trifield.
A sensitive electric field meter will serve you better all around that a
clamp-on amp meter.
If you have current on your pipes, etcetera (In the US almost everybody
does.) then you will need to take steps to block it.

The tv will have a magnetic field only when turned on, but it will have
an electric field any time it is plugged in, and that field can
contain/broadcast the health-damaging high frequencies.

I am looking at google for clamp on amp meters.  I am just learning
about this stuff and would like to avoid any costly mistakes.  I see
some clamp meters that measure more than just 60 hertz but give a
readout of frequency.  I'm thinking that this might be the kind of
meter I might need in order to isolate the source by finding what is
eminating that frequency.  Do you recommend any particular clamp on
amp meter as there are so many of them on the market?  thanks.

Unless you have a house full of electronic equipment, most of the high
frequency pollution present is being delivered to your house by your utility
company, and is riding along on your 60 Hz. If you have ground (terra firma)
current, or current on pipes, etcetera, you will have the high frequency-polluted
fields even if you turn off your main.

The computers are a big source of my problem.  One of the two that I

other is not turned on but it still has power to it except when I use
it and then it is turned on.  I can not put my feet on the floor when
I am using it either.  Would you be so kind as to explain what
specific steps you use to "earth" your computer.  I would be forever
grateful.  Thank you.

When Charles spoke about grounding computers, he was just referring to
the kind of grounding people do to keep static charges from building up and
damaging the computer. This kind of grounding is not going to protect the ES
person.
I wrote some time ago about how to safely use a laptop computer, which
is the ideal thing to do, if you have the $ to afford to switch. If you have
to keep what you have, there is a way you can isolate yourself from the
fields, which I also described, that involves running conductive sheeting under the
computer and other electronics, down the back of the desk and out under your
chair, then placing a hard mat under the chair. Then you are like the bird
on the transmission line.
However, if you have a standard monitor with a cathode ray tube, you
will still be getting hit by that. Flat screen is so much better.
Hope that helps.

Shivani

Re: reply to Quaixeman re grounding

quaixemen

Thank you for all your replies SArjuna. Your info is very useful. I
just placed another stetzer filter on the power strip which my
computer and monitor is plugged into. There was before only one
stetzer filter in the wall socket in the other outlet that the
powerstrip is also plugged into and not into the powerstrip itself.
I think this helped. My feet are on the floor and I don't feel the
burning as before. I have a conductive material called velostat
which I can place under the computer and then onto the floor and
under my chair as you suggest. Is there any kind of material that I
should look for in the hard mat? Any kind of material I should avoid
when buying the hard mat? Thannks again. You are so helpful.
