The ozone from these makes some people very ill. I know someone who
does not consider herself ES or CS at all, but she cannot bear to be where one
of these is operating. Her boss got one and she goes and unplugs it.
Also, such gizmos may themselves create damaging frequencies.

Shivani

Yes, I myself cannot tolerate the level of ozone that
some of the air purifiers put out. That is why I
suggested the smaller ones, like the ones which
are powered by a small UV lightbulb. Also, the
UV lightbulb ones are probably less likely
to have damaging EMF frequencies, compared
to the high-voltage spark variety (unless
one can't stand the AC/DC adapter, which is
certainly possible)

has anyone heard of the Elanra ioniser, apparently its supposed to be
much better than normal ionisers because it produces negative ions
small enough to enter the bloodstream and therefore make a difference
healthwise. Its about 500 pounds though!

I've seen it advertised, but never tried it. One of things I'm trying
to take care of at my home is neutralizing odors from the cat's litter
box, the German Shepherd, etc., and ionizers don't help with odors.
An ozone generator will help though.

Also, for folks with chemical sensitivities that have to worry about
offgassing, an ionizer won't destroy chemicals floating around in
the air, but an ozone generator will.

But, as Shivani correctly points out, most of the ozone generators
on the market put a ridiculously high level of ozone, which isn't
healthy either. So you've got to find the right size model for
the room you have.

For the most part I use Biozone Scientific UV light bulb air
purifiers in my house, but I've also got a 2" pleated filter in
my furnace and an Aranizer NS-3 in my bedroom.
