re. feeling better, then worse...

SArjuna
Seems several people have noted that when they first try something they
hope will help their sleeping area situation that they feel better initially,
then back to the same old state.
It would definitely be worth checking such a sleeping area for geopathic
influences. If your bed happens to be placed in a geopathic area, nothing
is going to help that but moving the bed.
If you don't know how to dowse, try just moving the bed to another spot.

I'm pasting on below a rather long collection of info. about geopathy
for those who are unfamiliar with its effects. Given my own experience I
suspect that ES people are very sensitive to geopathy.
[Comments in brackets are mine.]

Shivani

[Note: In today's toxic world, we are obviously exposed to many more
carcinogens than existed when much of the research below was done, including
pesticides, herbicides, electromagnetic radiation, mercury-laced water supplies,
etcetera. Also, "civilized" peoples in general now eat devitalized
foodstuffs and inventions such as hydrogenated fats. These health-destroying factors
must be considered as well. -Shivani]

Quote by Albert Einstein
"I know very well that many scientists consider dowsing as they do astrology,
as a type of ancient superstition. According to my conviction this is,
however, unjustified. The dowsing rod is a simple instrument which shows the
reaction of the human nervous system to certain factors which are unknown to us at
this time."

Research
As far back as 1929, Gustav Freiherr von Pohl, a German scientist and
one of Germany's most talented dowsers, carried out many investigations which
supported his theory that 'one will not get cancer unless one spends some time
in GS [Geopathic Stress] places, e.g. lying in one's bed'. He devised a scale
from 1-16 and found that any GS lines above the strength of 9 were cancer
inducing. This was proved to the satisfaction of the Central Committee for Cancer
Research in Berlin, who subsequently published his findings. In 1930, he read a
paper to the Medical Congress in Munich, which inspired many doctors to carry
out their own research.
In his book ' Earth Currents - Causative Factor of Cancer and other
Diseases', von Pohl gives an account of how he drew onto a map of a town called
Vilsbiburg (a Bavarian town with a stable population) all the Geopathic Stress
Lines he could locate by dowsing. He was not familiar with the town and the
operation was stringently supervised by Council officials and the Police, so he
could not communicate with anyone and be given pertinent information which
might influence his findings. A doctor then produced the details of the 54 people
who had died from cancer since records were kept which were then compared to
von Pohl's map. To the amazement of all present every single person who had
died of cancer had slept for some time in a bed located exactly over GS lines.
After this, he investigated the town of Grafenau with exactly the same
results. Later he returned to Vilsbiburg where another 11 had died of cancer
and all had slept in a GS place. Von Pohl estimates 1/40th or 2.5% of the
earth's surface is affected by GS. So what is the chance factor involved inthese
experiments? Is is purely coincidence that all cases investigated involved
people sleeping in a GS affected area? The possibility of chance here is small and
the results of these studies were accepted as clear and decisive.

Many doctors attempted to disprove von Pohl's findings but none were suc
cessful. Dr. Rambeau, M.D., President of the Chamber of Medicine in Marburg,
failed over three years to find cancer patients whose beds were NOT locatedin
a GS place. Numerous scientific studies have since validated van Pohl's
theory.
Dr. Hager, President of the Scientific Association of Medical Doctors
with the help of a professional dowser Privy Councillor C. Williams checkedthe
houses of 5,438 people in the town of Stettin, who had died of cancer and
found in all cases that strong GS lines had crossed their homes. Of special
interest was a survey of three homes for elderly people in the town over the
previous five years. In the home with strong GS was found 38 had died of cancer. In
the home with weak GS, 2 had died of cancer. In the home with no GS at all
nobody had died from cancer. In 5 houses built over particularly strong GS places
he found an average of 38 cancer cases in 21 years.
Dr. H. Nieper MD states: '92% of all my cancer patients and 75% of my MS
patients are Geopathically Stressed'. Dr. Nieper is a world-renowned cancer
specialist and operates one of the largest MS practices in the world.
Dr. E. Hartman MD is convinced after treating thousands of cancer
patients over 30 years in practice that CANCER IS A DISEASE OF LOCATION [his book]
caused by Geopathic Stress.
During a scientific test Dr. Manfred Curry, a medical doctor and
biochemist, searched several houses where cancer patients had previously lived. Dr.
Curry did not know the patients nor the details of their illness. None of the
patients were in the houses during the search. Four medical doctors were
invited as observers. In other words all subjective influences on the test had been
excluded. In the first house Dr. Curry found by dowsing two GS lines under a
bed and he said that if anyone had slept there for any length of time they
would have been affected in the region of the pelvis. One of the doctors had to
admit with astonishment that the bed had first been occupied by a mother and
later by her daughter-in-law. The mother had died 15 years ago and the
daughter-in-law 5 years ago. Both died of cancer of the uterus.
In another house Dr. Curry found GS lines crossing the head of the bed.
Again he stated that the person sleeping there must have cancer of the throat.
He was informed that he was correct. In the third house a GS line was found
at the foot of the bed and Dr. Curry stated that the previous occupant had a
cancerous tumor in the leg, the patient's doctor confirmed this. All those
searched gave the same result, when GS lines were found to cross under beds.

-------------------------------------------------------
Von Pohl’s work stimulated extensive action among central European
medical professions. In Stettin, the Medical Officer, Dr. Hager, undertook his own
city survey of 5,348 cancer cases, the outcome of which did much to account
for the widespread acceptance on the continent of the geopathic influence on
cancer, and other illnesses originating or stimulated by electromagnetic fields
from telluric radiation sources.
In more recent times, the findings of Dowsers such as Kathe Bachler, who
dowsed in 14 countries, dealing with over 11,000 cases in 3,000 homes (all
information recorded), Kurt Wiengerg, the talented dowser from Kassell, over
9,000 cases with well illustrated information dealing with each house and
workplace examined, plus my own experience, leaves me with no element of doubt
whatsoever that the emissions from telluric radiation represent a major contributory
factor in the development of many serious diseases. -Alfred Riggs
www.alfredriggs.com
----------------------
In the Soviet Union it is taught as a science and most of the dowsers are
doctors, engineers and scientists and they find any type of mineral they require
by dowsing. They have equipment to detect cracks in dams but the ultra-fine
cracks they can’t find so they have specialist dowsers to do that.

There was a GDR (German Democratic Republic) test. The government called upon
Munich University to evaluate the ability of dowsers to find drinkable water
and that was headed by Professor Hans Dieter Betts of Munich University, a
professor of physics and he and his team of scientists took the dowsers to ten
different countries including the Sinai desert where the geologists said there
wasn’t any water, and on the basis of the advice given to them by the dowsers
they sunk over two thousand wells, six hundred and ninety one in Sri Lanka
alone, where the geology was said to be extremely difficult. They had a 96%
success rate. The geo-hydrologists given the same task took two months to evaluate a
site where a dowser would do it in minutes and they had a 21% success rate.
As a result of that the German government sponsored over a hundred dowsers to
go into the arid zone of southern India to find water and they were very
successful.
---------------------
Most people know dowsing as a means of finding water with a twig, but it is
used for much more.  Many doctors in Germany, Austria and France use dowsers
in their health-care programs.  Indeed, many of them undertake it personally.
Several of the authoritative figures from the history of dowsing were in fact
medical dowsers, for example, Dr. Curry, who discovered the existence of the
dangerous network of earth lines named after him.   Dowsing is also used by
some alternative health practices in the U.K.   Government departments and public
utilities both here and abroad sometimes discretely use dowsers. Dowsing was
used by the US Marines to locate Viet Cong tunnels and caches, and avoid booby
traps. [Dowsing was taught to the Marines at Quantico by surveyor Louis J
Matacia.]

In 1989, a group of researchers in Austria completed a two-year study on the
short-term consequences of human association with detrimental earth radiation
sites. Some 985 people were tested with 462,421 measurements recorded from
6,943 tests. The working party was headed by Dr. Otto Bergsmann (Internal
Medicine), a professor at the University of Vienna. A 158 page report gave details of
changes in the serum values of serotonin, zinc and calcium after being
exposed to these noxious fields for a period of ten minutes.  There were many other
altered states to biological functions noted as a result of short-term
exposure to these forces.  This group has now linked with two universities in Austria
studying the effects of disturbed zones on the immune system.  Indications
thus far support the findings of Dr. Ernst Hartmann who claimed that the
protective role of the immune system was undermined when immersed in emissions of
detrimental earth radiation.

Dr. Palle Gad. Surgeon in Aahus Denmark. SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).
14 of 18 deaths attributed to cribs in Geopathic Zones. Following law of
averages only 1 to 2 should have been found in Geopathic Stressed places. Over
3,000 SIDS deaths in Britain per year. How many in the United States?

Dr. Enid Worsch. Professor. 1990 Of about 600 cancers cases, less than 5% had
no connection with Geopathic Stress.

In Russia they teach dowsing as a science. Many of the top dowsers are
doctors, engineers and scientists. Professor Alexander P. Dubrov, Prof. of
Biophysics, Doctor of Geophysics (author of "The Geomagnetic Field and Life) being one
of them. [The infomation in his book is fascinating, and yet to be fully
incorporated into our scientific view of how the biomechanisms of living
organisims depend upon the GF and are profoundly affected by variations in it .]

 ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
Electric power systems work at around 50hz just above the naturally occurring
frequency of 30hz generated by the Earth.  Our bodies are tuned in to this
low frequency so any frequency close to this is going to interfere with us,such
as the 50hz Ac mains power system used in the UK or the 60 Hz of N. America.
ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) electromagnetic fields vibrating from 0.5  to
100hz,even if they are weaker than the Earth's field, interfere with the cues
that keep our biological cycles properly timed.  Chronic stress and impaired
disease resistance results.

The frequencies that ELF AC systems use are very close to the natural brain
rhythms of cerebrate creatures such as man.  The pineal gland is the principal
structure in the brain that is directly sensitive to the earth's magnetic
field.  As a result it functions abnormally when exposed to abnormal fields close
to its own.  Because the pineal gland produces a host of psychoactive
chemicals (such as melatonin, dopamine, serotonin and others)  its abnormal
functioning can cause neurological and behavioural problems.

[Sleeping in an area subject to both geopathic stress and an electromagnetic
field is highly related to distressing symptoms and disease. In the homesI
have checked, there has so far been a 100% correlation between these two
factors and the health of the residents. It is most gratifying that when the
individuals moved their beds from such an area, or took steps to remove the
fields, the symptoms were improved or ceased altogether. I myself would not be
alive today if I had not done this for myself. -Shivani]

In 1990 the United States Environmental Protection Agency stated  "In
conclusion, after an examination of the available data over the past 15 years,  there
is evidence of a positive association of exposure to magnetic fields with
certain site-specific cancer, namely leukaemia, cancer of the central nervous
system, and to a lesser extent, lymphomas. This is supported by many studies of
children and adults across many different populations and sub-groups.

Dr.  Paul G. Seeger,   Former  Chief  of  Cancer  Research,
Charite` Hospital, Berlin,  Germany said  “No serious-minded criticism,  be it ever so
prejudiced,  can afford to ignore proofs of the existence of pathogenic telluric
influences.   Hundreds of cancer institutes all over the world have spent billions
without having found any convincing proof of cancer’s  cause.    Why has it
not been possible to spend a few million of that huge sum for a thorough
investigation of telluric radiation as a prime cause of cancer in human beings.   Why
has this newly discovered continent of knowledge not been applied to cancer
prevention?”
[Much of the above information, and more, is covered in Christopher Bird’
s history of dowsing, The Divining Hand.]
