Much depends on the prevailing wind direction, as the ions created form
microclustsers of radioactive material which are attracted to and stick to
your lung surface. Search on Prof. Henshaw's work for more on this.
Also, you will note that all the poles are grounded. This allows
current to flow across the surface of the ground. Checking the air space is not
sufficient. You need to check the dirt! To do this, you need the help of
someone with an oscilloscope. They can insert the leads into the ground in
various spots and see what kind of current is there, if any.
By the way, anyone buying property should do this, as about 80% of all
the current leaving US substations is now returning via the ground. It takes
the path of least resistance, not the shortest path, so there is no way to
know where it is without checking. I know someone who bought property between
two transmission lines after discovering that the currents all ran outward
away from the property in that particular case.
Also note that though most people use a gauss meter when checking EMF,
the more helpful meter is a good sensitive electric field meter.
