Sounds complicated. Wouldn't it be an idea to go by boat? Takes
longer, but at least at sea there's no electricity and you could shield
the cabin. If you can find a trip from East US (I don't know where you
live) to for instance France, then it's only a short trip by train to
Switzerland.
