Hi there, I wonder if you could help me, I have a problem with fluorescent lights after about 20 minutes exposure to fluorescent light or TV/monitor this is what happens: Stiff neck - difficulty raising head Sensation of pressure at the back of the head Nausea Dizziness Loss of balance Very poor concentration I have to think very hard to move properly. After 1-2 hours exposure it takes 2-3 days for me to recover My MRI was fine, blood tests fine and EEG shows no epilepsy. I have been suffering for 2 years now, living in Ireland but from Scotland. Can anyone offer any help or advice. I am particularly interested in talking to anyone who suffers from anything similar. thank you |

I think a lot of people on this list have suffered from those same symptoms, including myself. For myself, after experimenting with this for years and reading what's out there on the subject, I have come to the conclusion that the electromagnetic fields emitting from the TVs and flourescent lights are mobilizing deposits of heavy metals in my body into my bloodstream, and then when they are in my bloodstream, the cause adverse reactions. So the longterm solution is a "heavy metal detox", which would also need to include removing any metal dental work you may have. Depending on how bad things are, you should expect the recovery period to be measured in years, but there are things you can try in the shortterm for immediate relief. For one, you can limit your exposure by moving appliances further away from you -- for example, if you have a clock radio next to your bed. Also, if you have any energy-efficient florescent light bulbs in your house, replace them with the older incandescent type. Some people also do better on flat screen computer monitors, but I found for myself that these made my symptoms worse, so instead I found that I could get help by reducing my old-fashioned monitor resolution to 800x600. Another area of extreme importance is diet -- I have found that certain types of food make my symptoms worse, and some make them better. For example, a bowl of oatmeal helps me quite a bit, while an orange makes things worse. I have also found that sea vegetables make things better, as do dates, bananas, avacados, almonds, carrot juice (which I now buy at the health food store, because organic foods are supposed to be better for you). For me, any food or supplement high in polysaccarides seems to be of great help -- this includes aloe vera, echinacea, mushrooms, sea vegetables, and psyllium husks. Foods or supplements high in antioxidants are very useful too. For example, carrots contain beta carotene, wheat germ contains vitamin E, etc. Note that I have not had any success with vitamin pills -- I don't think the synthetic versions of these vitamins work. Another lifesaver for me which provides immediate relief have been EMF protection devices. There are a few such devices sold which have helped various list members, although I know of no device that works for everyone. I personally use Quantum Products and Springlife Polarizers -- the Quantum Products I only use when I'm at work or on the computer at home, and the Springlife Polarizers I use everywhere. Also, I recommend that you try to find some sort of health practitioner to work with, but I don't recommend most medical doctors, because they don't know what to do. Instead, if there are any holistic/ alternative medicine practitioners that know anything about heavy metal detox, that would be a good place to start. Or someone who specializes in chinese or indian medicine might be a good choice. So basically, I think the problem is that we people who have ES are "toxic", and the fields emitted from certain electrical devices causes these toxins to mobilize into our bloodstream and make us feel bad. Doing anything to limit our exposure to toxins and electromagnetic fields is helpful, but to be "cured" we need to find safe ways to remove the toxins from our bodies and make sure that our bodies built-in methods of detoxification (e.g., our liver, our kidneys) are working well. > who have ES are "toxic" Note also that being "toxic" does not necessarily imply that we have more toxins in our bodies than seemingly healthier people. It may instead mean that our liver (which has the job of cleaning our blood) may not be performing its job well. I've read about a lot of people who get ES symptoms almost overnight, and I have to wonder whether they were exposed to something (e.g, a chemical, or a virus or parasite) which negatively affected their liver function, and as such they could no longer process the usual amount of toxins in the bloodstream. The result? ES symptoms. Marc |

My wife and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 1/2 years. My wife
is exploring the possibility of having her amalgams removed and I want to know how long it will take after they are removed before the mercury is at a level in her body to be safe for the fetus. Does anyone know someone that has researched the amalgam removal process around a pregnancy? I have Andy Cutler's book and a couple of videos on the safe way to remove the amalgams and have found a dentist here that is up to date on the process. Maybe I should post this also on the Mercury list. Any body know that address? Thanks, Andrew |
