metal detector not as bothersome as wifi?

A relative has ended up in the hospital and unfortunately they make you pass through a metal detector. Which I believe is ionizing radiation. The guard said its very low dose (yeah sure whatever). Anyway I asked for a pat down but they insisted. I noticed I didn't get zapped. Second time the guy used a hand wand instead. I just don't understand why these things don't hurt me. But when I'm on my phone at home or not I'm getting pummeled by wireless from somewhere. What is it about wifi that hurts me? Is it the frequency or something?

On a side note my relatives have been relating my condition to other people and they all act like this is the strangest thing they've ever heard. Doctors, friends, etc. Completely foreign concept. I've read somewhere that 2-5% of the population experience moderate symptoms from wireless. For my town that's 2-7k people. I think that's more then certain ailments. You'd think someone would have heard about this ehs stuff.

Nobody seems to react to metal detectors.  I've been through many of them at airports and during jury duty, never noticed anything.

Although I have curiously set them off, even with no actual metal on my person.  Have theorized it being due to heavy metal toxicity, unless it was just so sensitive that it didn't like the zipper and button in my regular Levis jeans!

It could possibly be the frequency. I notice different effects from different Wi-Fi channels (each channel is a different frequency).

I think your right. I think its primarily caused by Comcast wifi in the 5ghz bands. I don't know what my neighbors ham radio produces.  I feel so stupid about this stuff.. All I know is that when I'm in certain situations usually indoors at certain neighborhoods I feel like hell.  One thing I've noticed is that the neighbor's daughter has a phone that I think is 5G and she keeps the hotspot on all the time ( Which I don't understand why she needs a hotspot on since they have Wi-Fi in the house) and I've noticed my symptoms increase when that hotspot spot is on. It fortunately it seems like there's some sort of joint custody situation going on and she's not always home it's not always home but when she is I feel it man.
