intestinal malabsorbtion.

johnmauersberger
Hello,
I wanted to mention another possible contributing factor to ES.
I've been treated several times for intestinal malabsorption. I've had fecal samples sent to Great Smokies Diagnostic lab which showed at various times candida overgrowth, & the presence of a possibly pathogenic anaerobic bacteria called citrobacter frundii. Also, there was a smaller population of beneficial bacteria present than there should have been. I've taken various things over the years that have knocked these things back but they've come back many times.
I believe that the problem isn't the presence of these organisms alone but possibly the presence of one or more intestinal lesions that allow the absorbtion of bacteria or yeast, heavy metals, improperly digested proteins, & whatever else into the blood stream.
All these things put a tremendous load on the liver & immune system. Perhaps, its all of these "free radicals" which could include pathogens, & to a much smaller part metals being absorbed into the blood stream and coursing through our bodies which are affected, energised, or killed when we feel the symptoms of electrical sensitivity.
Perhaps then, the presence of heavy metals in ES sufferers & liver toxicity is secondary to a long term problem with malabsorbtion. I know this has been implicated as a cause and/or affect of food allergies & multiple chemical sensitivity.
Another related problem is often an inability to keep beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract. I believe it's true that mercury is a strong antibacterial which can kill off beneficial bacteria in the digestive tract. It was used at one time as a cure for syphilus. So mercury buildup could also cause a buildup of yeast in the digestive tract.
I'm going to get another poop sample analyzed & see what the makeup of the bugs living in my digestive tracts are at this point.
I've noticed something recently that I'd noticed before. (there are so many aspects to this illness that you have trouble keeping track of what's a primary cause of the illness & what's secondary). I'd been diagnosed with malabsorption before & I think this might possibly be a major part of what I'm fighting now. I've noticed that a day or 2 after I eat certain things is when I seem to crash. I've been avoiding any grains except rice, & any white sugar. It seems that every time I cheat, a couple of days later I crash.
So, along with continueing my chelations, I'm going to explore the whole malabsorption aspect again. I'm being switched to DMPS to try & get out the mercury which has been found in my last chelation challange.
I'd like to have some kind of scope or something done that could show if there's one specific location in the gut where a lesion exists. If I had to guess, I'd suspect the area right in the vicintity of where the liver dumps into the intestines.
I've often wondered whether some sort of scope or something that could specifically pinpoint the location of such an abnormality.
Would anyone else know about this?

John,

I think this is called leaky gut syndrome. There is some info on that at http://www.askwaltstollmd.com/. Check the archieves. you might be able to find some more info at web. I also have the same problem.I think it needs long time to heal.
Best regards

I would like to mention Golden Seal Root as a supplement. The principal active ingredients are barbarin and hydrastine which help build ones resistence. On the one I use now it says it supports Respiratory and immune System. Also recommended for Liver (you take a lot you poop) and Heart, but I would say for just about anything from what i have experienced. Have seen it in topical use as well working wonders for me and others. My "guru" recommended it to me years ago and since i have used it on and off, he said it was holistic. Goldenseal and many other roots or natural medicine of the fiery kind, that will bring us back to perfect health.

original post written 16 years ago and i've been going through this issue since "covid" in 2020.  i have serious bubble guts. i notice i feel better after pooping or after heavy sweating. when this first occurred it felt as it i was going into some sort of toxic shock. my body began shaking uncontrollably. luckily i had an enema bag nearby so i used it to relieve myself, and quite a bit of foul, fishy smelling stool.
i'm soooo exhausted as it seems that there are just too many health issues to worry about these days. i just want my insides clean. anyone have any further advice/recommendations, i'd greatly appreciate it!

Well, there are lots of probiotics and binder products out there, but I must say, that even after trying many over the past years / decades, I still have those issues.  So evidently I must still be doing something wrong.
