HI - I posted a query not so long ago re your problem I was tempted to
go from cable dial up 56kb to braodband 576kb but was worried about the
possible negative effects from telephone wires etc, ie my question was
does broadband once switched on permenantly change the characteristics
of the phone line is it always on or only when you initialise the
software ? A telecom engineer told me that broadband if nothing else
will increase the voltage to your telephone lines x2 at least(is this a
permanent increase) bummer if you live near a pole and everyone is on
broadband. Any way to cut a long story short I was sold on the idea of
getting bband so that I did not mis any phone calls. I now have it and
aggree with you there is something more agitating/agressive coming from
my screen I think so perhaps yet again a little change can have a large
effect, the shivani high frequency thing comes to mind in that the
change in voltage, data process speed etc can carry more noise in on
your wires into your pc and out via the electronics of your screen
wether lcd or crt ? the telephone wires probably cannot hold the
increased voltage etc either so radiate of in vicinity ! I can spend
less time now on the internet as a result of heightened symptoms due to
the bband upgrade, co-incidently my tinitus which would stop a rhino
has change pitch somewhat at around time that the change occured,
although at this time a surrey based company launched the GLOVE A
gallileo sattelite to rival american GPS , all of a sudden a poor whale
makes a wrong turn up the thames ??
