I'm not a big fan of shielding, so if it were me I'd try to solve the
problem by putting an EMF protection device on the heater (or nearby).
Probably one of the smaller Springlife polarizer pendants or the
Quantum Products power strip, or a RA*D*AR card. And if that doesn't
work for you, then maybe some Stetzerizer filters might help?
And if none of the above works, then perhaps some sort of shielding
will have to be used... I'll leave that to our various shielding
experts to recommend something specific.
And of course, the last resort -- try to sleep further away from
the water heater...
