Re: was: help with new iMac? now: is mac mini any better?

In this case, it wasn't just off, it was unplugged.  No electric supply.  But it still bothered me.

Once I boxed it up and put it in the room furthest from me, I started feeling a little better.  But I felt best when it left the house.

**Sigh**  Yes, apparently there are GPS sensitives...I'm one... :(

I've tried shielding against it and it doesn't work...only thing that seems to work with GPS is burying it under mounds of blankets or other stuff that dampens it until it's bearable...

Was: help with new iMac? now: update--new PC

Here's a quick update:

We decided not to bother getting a Mac mini b/c it wasn't likely to be any better and didn't even have a DVD drive...

So DH got a Dell Inspiron i620 with Windows 7 Professional.  I wasn't with him, so I don't know whether none of the computers could have the wireless removed, but either way, again the wireless is built into the motherboard on this machine.  (Grrr...)

I disabled it and even uninstalled it but I can still feel something and I don't know whether it's something wireless or not.  I called and talked to Dell and they said that a GPS chip is an option, but only if specifically requested.  So according to them, there is no GPS chip here.

I have some shielding fabric as well as some carbon absorbing sheets and have tried draping them over the machine but it makes no difference at all.  I still feel tightening in the throat and upper chest and a heart flutter.  The longer I use it the worse it gets.

Now, I don't have it in its cabinet yet...I don't know if the wooden enclosure will help a little or not...but if the shielding fabric isn't helping...

And once again, even though I've turned it off, I'm still feeling it...not as strongly, but still feeling it.  This is so incredibly frustrating.

I spent 8 years in a house that had high voltage wires in the backyard.  4 of those were truly hellish, with both me and my children suffering from all sorts of nervous system problems.  My husband never noticed any problems.

Indeed.  I haven't had the best luck with recent stuff from Dell - a laptop
Dell at work was very bothersome to me, and also a Dell monitor I recently
bought was sent back for a refund.

I have been luckier with items from Lenovo's ThinkPad and ThinkCentre
lines -- although the models we have are about 2 years old (ThinkPad
X200 and ThinkCentre M58e).

One thing you can try with the Dell you just bought is to install
the free trial "Quantum Byte" software.  It may not make any
difference, but it's worth a shot (it makes a difference for me):

Lisa,

I understand how frustrating this all must be for you. Dell is one of the most toxic computers on the market. It sounds as if you may be suffering from a reaction to the computer itself and the chemical components used to build the computer. Have you explored Multiple Chemical Sensitivity? A lot of times it's hard to discern between the two illnesses. (as I've had MCS for years and thought I had EMS and only now realize I have got EMS as well as MCS. I would assume the reverse could be true as well.)

I hope you can find answers to your troubles.

Sincerely,
Kat

Kat,

You are correct. There is more then a connection between ES and
Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. Some say they are two sides of the same coin.
See below link.

Studies have shown that micro wave radiation opens the  blood brain barrier, which then allows toxins
that wouldn’t normally get into the brain, get in.

Simply put, radiation injures the blood brain barrier, which sets
off a domino effect and then allows chemicals/toxins into the brain.

So when this happens, the body is rendered more sensitive to
chemicals and more sensitive to electro magnetic fields.

See: Electromagnetic
Hypersensitivity and Multiple Chemical
Sensitivity ...

Lisa,

When
we have had this symptom of the tightening of the throat, we have found (my
daughter and I- both ES) we have found liqiud Iodine drops to work well for
this. Radiation effects the thyroid, which is the gland that needs the Iodine.
I believe that radiation zaps/depletes the Iodine levels. This was shown in the
history of Chernolby, with respect to the high amts of thyroid cancers that
were caused from the nuclear fall out.

I
have always stated: Radiation is radiation, no matter in what form.

You
may also find high quality Omega 3’s from animal sources help to heal the brain
membraine tissues. Animal fat from organic butter, omega 3’s from sardines are
an option. I myself prefer to get as clean a source of fish / fish oil as
possible. Carlson’s sells a Fish Oil that is checked for purity.

Should
you decide to try the Iodine drops, the general rule is start with VERY low
doses, one drp at a time, in water, and see how you do.

For
those who are especially sensitive, tiny doses may work better, and with the
Iodine, some find it works better for them, to put one drop on the belly
button, instead of taking it orally.

May
sound weird, buy hey, if it works, that’s what
matters.

The
brand I happen to really like is: www.magnascent.com

Also,
Magnesium Chloride Oil is another mineral that helps with throat tightening.

I
only recommend the brands I use, so for this one, I like the

www.
ancient-minerals.com brand.

There
are others on the market, but I found these  work best for us.

Blessings

LIzzie

My transponder for the San Francisco Bay Area FasTrak came with a
mylar bag to keep it in when I didn't want to use it.  The
instructions that came with it that when it was in the bag, it
wouldn't work. I don't have a meter so I can't test to see if it's
emitting anything through the bag.  I keep it in my console, and only
put it on the windshield when I have to cross a toll bridge (which is
rarely).
