full spectrum lights

I have tried a full spectrum light for reading & liked it w no ill effects. I want to buy one & one of the ads says full spectrum fluorescent bulb. Does anyone know more about these & are all full spectrum bulbs fluorescent? I don't seem to feel badly fr the reading light I have been borrowing as I wd from fluorescent room lighting. Thanks.

Lights which are labelled "full spectrum" can be incandescent, florescent,
and halogen. If you felt okay with one type of technology, you may not
feel okay with another.

Thanks for the reply. Is one type of bulb better than another? I'm looking at one called Verilux Happy Eyes & when I read the fine print it says: The lamp uses a 27 watt linear compact fluorescent bulb.(I hadn't realized it was florescent...sure doesn't feel bad like rooms that are lit w florescent lites that sometimes buzz.)There's one at Staples for a third of the price & I don't know if there's any advantage in spending more?

I don't have any experience with this particular product.

My experience is that incandescent lighting is easier to
tolerate than florescent or halogen lighting, but certainly
different people may have different experiences, and there
may be products which are exceptions to this "rule".
