ems and tinnitus

kay_fensome
My mother has had problems with tinnitus since she had an operation
about 10 years ago. Over the past couple of months she has been
experiencing a high pitched noise in her head. Added to this she has a
smell similar to ammonia and a strange taste in her mouth. She hasn't
been sleeping because of the noise. She has put these effects down to
wireless internet. We have a caravan on the east coast and she is fine
there and also if she goes and lives at her mums she is fine. I'm
basically asking if anyone has been effected like this by wifi?
Obviously she feels quite alone in this as we haven't heard of anyone
being effected in this way. Or alternatively if anyone has any ideas of
anything else it could be? Does this sound like EMS, or am I on the
wrong track?

Have she seen an ear/nose throat doctor ? As an ES person I can
catagorically say that my Tinitus increased when exposed to high levels of electrosmog,
I have to say that its the usual story many med conditions can lead to
strange tastes in mouth. Presumably she has reported this to her DR ? I suppose
she has racked her brains to think of any obvious differences in her
environment that would bring on the symptoms (apart from the offending WIFI), such as
chemicals in the house, outside levels of pollution such as burning from
farms/stables, pesticide spraying etc...

Hi Kay,

I don't know if you read my post but I am convinced that my tinnitus is
caused by wi-fi.

My tinnitus started almost a year ago while I was at my parents in the
UK for a 2 week vacation and I now realise that there was a DECT phone
on the other side of the wall right near my head. The night before the
tinnitus started I talked on a satellite phone for a few minutes (I've
heard that they emit 5 times more than a regular mobile phone). I think
that was the last straw for my ear.

I had been wondering if the tinnitus was related to mercury-toxicity
because I also had some large amalgam fillings removed (with a dam) a
couple of weeks before it started.

However, a couple of weeks ago I was at a dance class and my tinnitus
suddenly got really loud. I looked around and realised I was sitting
near a emitter for a wireless microphone.

I've also just discovered that I've been sleeping in a wi-fied bedroom
for the last couple of years - coming from our neighbor (actually I
haven't been sleeping in there much the past year because I couldn't
stand it). I've also had a DECT phone in my office for 2 years
(fortunately not one that emits continuously).

The amalgam removal might have played a part also but I am convinced
that an overload of wi-fi has caused my tinnitus (just in one ear0.

Hope that helps,
Aline
