eSens Message Archive

bbin37

Hi all,

An eSens message archive has been started in the eSens Files area
inside the 'eSens Message Archive' folder.

The archive folder contains ZIP files (only one at the moment,
eSens0001-0500.zip, more to follow soon) each of which contains a DOS
text file archiving a range of eSens messages. The range is notated
in the names of the ZIP and text files.

The format of each archived message is:

#####===================================##### (Begin msg marker)
Date: ...
From: ...
Subject: ...
Message #: ...

...message body text...

The main purpose of these files is to have an easy-to-store
offline archive that can facilitate searching. Therefore, no attempt
has been made to prettify the message body text. (For example, no
tags are stripped out of HTML formatted messages.) However, most
messages are plain text making them legible enough for easy reading.

If you notice a message missing from an archive, please let me know so
it can be inserted.

I hope this archive will be useful for you!

Thanks,
Beau

Thanks for doing this, Beau!

Hopefully this will make things easier for new members trying to
catch up, or old members trying to find something that they
remember being mentioned previously...

Thanks, Marc. My pleasure!

An extra point I want to mention about the archived message headers.
If no subject originally existed for a message, no 'Subject: ' line
will appear in the archived message.
