Are the water pipes where you live copper?
You might have very acidic water and it's leaching some of the copper from
the pipes
as it flows thru and out into your shower, faucets, etc.
Mostly older homes and apts. have copper piping...
New construction uses PVC pipes
which presents a whole other problem with endocrine imbalances from PVC
which is plastic and petroleum based...
