computer screens - fire retardant or EMF?

Jsverdlove
I have EMF and MCS sensitivities and have been trying out different LCD screens. I'm noticing that some bother me (numb hands, headache) and some don't. However, I've also been noticing that there is a certain SMELL that comes from some screens, and also from TV screens - so strong it sticks to the fabric I drape over my TV set. It's an old TV though, and I now can't get the smell out of the fabric despite numerous washings.

I'm wondering if anyone shared this experience and knows if I'm smelling the PDBE (fire retardant) or just plastic heating up or some other electric smell. If I know what it is, I can look for items that aren't made this way and it will help me use more appliances if possible.

Thanks!
Jill

There is plenty of evidence linking fumes from plastics, computer
terminals, etc. that have cause numerous health issues. Do what ever
you can to prevent these toxic scents, fumes to enter your body.
