Hello There
I am one of the unfortunate people that have to sleep outside in the camper in the summer in order to get any sleep. I never would have done this but I slowly learned that when I went to the lake I sleep better and eventualy at home I started sleeping out in the yard in the camper. (it is aluminum covered) One thing I noticed during the first week in the camper was that the lower frequency noise I hear and feel was gone, but I had a high frequency noise or feeling (that felt good) but kept me awake for about 3 days in a row, but then the high frequency faded away and I was able to sleep. I have repeated this low --high thing several years in a row. This is now March and I am sleeping in the house. I have had almost no sleep since October and in an act of desparation one day I lined one wall of the bedroom with aluminum foil. I noticed that some of the low noise was gone and I was able to sleep from about 1am to 5am, after 5am I had so much high frequency that I couldn't sleep. I decided to ride it through and now after about 2 weeks the high frequency has tappered off a little and I am now getting some sleep. I am surprised that some sleep actualy comes because I had lost that ability. I had read on this forum that aluminum foil would not realy work. My question today is why does this seem to work ? and more importantly what is the aluminum foil blocking ? Whatever I have done I would like to improve on it but am not sure of what to do next, Part of the problem is solved but not all, I am hoping someday to get my life back. Thanks, xyz |
I have bouts of insomnia and hearing everything-frequencies, noises in the walls, etc. Then I will have a short period where i can sleep.
I think supplements can help-take a good multi, and fish oils. At night take magnesium and try a small dose of melatonin and see if you notice anything. --- In [hidden email], "xyzxyz12311@..." <xyzxyz12311@...> wrote: > > Hello There > > I am one of the unfortunate people that have to sleep outside in > the camper in the summer in order to get any sleep. > > I never would have done this but I slowly learned that when I > went to the lake I sleep better and eventualy at home I started sleeping > out in the yard in the camper. Hello torch, I have been taking some supplements and tend to cycle to the point of almost not picking anything up to the point of being awake all night.
Havent tried magnesium, will try that. I have tried melatonin and it almost rubbed me out:-) I presume that my own melatonin production is not working properly. I think that being electrosensitive must mess that up. Thanks, xyz --- In [hidden email], "torch369" <torch369@...> wrote: > > I have bouts of insomnia and hearing everything-frequencies, noises in the walls, etc. Then I will have a short period where i can sleep. > I think supplements can help-take a good multi, and fish oils. People with electrical sensitivity can also be ultra-sensitive to certain supplements, so whenever trying a new supplement, it is best to start with a very small dose to see if you have any adverse side effects. Ironically, sometimes the supplements that initially give you the strongest adverse reaction are actually the ones that could benefit you the most! In such cases, you need to take tiny doses at first, and eventually build up to something larger when you can tolerate it better. Marc |

Hi Marc!
Dr Bob Martin Health Talk radio show. He touts Prevagen all the time & I read about it. It replaces the protein lost and prevents excessive brain cell die off. It helps the brain to manage the calcium ions in the nervous system. Which is exactly why I think it is helping me and more of why I am taking it. When you help the brain to function better Everything should function better because your brain controls your body! Makes sense. Been 5 years since I've slept in a bed & it feels really good. Before Prevagen I could not find it possible. Everyone should try this for at least a couple of months & see if it helps them. I tried hundreds of suppliments & this is the only thing that has done anything for me. Hi IXY I turned my room into a faraday cage by lining it with aluminium foil (ceiling and walls) and I grounded it to two earthing spikes through a whole in the wall to outside. Couldn't sleep for six years before that (had severe insomnia). Now I can sleep - until I don't sleep in that room, which is now never. You will be blocking out RF and electric field (if it's grounded). It won't block out low frequency magnetic field, but these drop away quickly if there isn't a source nearby. Ideally thus if you have such a room you should trip the power to that room. My bed isn't near the walls, so the trifield meter (for low EMF) doesn't pick up such fields. Acoustimer that measures RF is silent there as well. These cages are controversial hear in that some people say they feel worse in them, but for me, again, it's the only place where I can sleep. I've tried everything else I may as well give it a shot. Pricy sucker, though. iherb.com has it for $44 for 30 capsules.
If anyone wants to try it you can use my discount code, TEV-814. It will give you $5 off your first order. Shipping is free at iherb with only a $40 order which is great. Hello Kikkie :-)
I only have one wall covered with aluminum foil, did you experiment with only one wall or did you do them all at once? I also moved all the wires in the basement that were under the bedroom and routed them away from that room. One night while doing that I woke up feeling as if the side of my head was going to explode, I didn't know what to do, the next day that was gone but I had the feeling that it was an electomagnetic event caused by moving the cables away. I did have the power tripped, but thinking about that I realized that was only 1 wire, I looked for a switch that would cut off all three wires but in the end I just cut them off and made a plug-in that I unplug at night thus cutting off all three wires. Since then I have plugged it back in again because I have the aluminum grounded through the house electrical system, probably not a good idea but will make a proper ground when the frost leaves. In the meantime I have a small computer chasis fan plugged in and running. It is ball bearing and makes no noise, I find it must make enough white noise that I feel better. Thanks xyz |

Hi Loni
They're the copper rods you put into the ground when you want to earth something. So in this case you attach splayed copper wire to the faraday cage and connect it to the eart spike/rod outside. --- In [hidden email], Loni <loni326@...> wrote: > > What are earthing spikes? Loni > > --- On Tue, 3/8/11, kikkie2004 <kirsty.weight@...> wrote: > > > From: kikkie2004 <kirsty.weight@...> > Subject: [eSens] Re: aluminum foil > To: [hidden email] > Date: Tuesday, March 8, 2011, 4:41 AM > > >  > > > > > Hi IXY > > I turned my room into a faraday cage by lining it with aluminium foil (ceiling and walls) and I grounded it to two earthing spikes through a whole in the wall to outside. > > Couldn't sleep for six years before that (had severe insomnia). HI XYZ
It took me a week to do the room, but apart from that, I did the all the walls and the ceiling immediately. Felt horrible as I was doing it because of the reflection until it got well grounded (two outside with two earthing spikes/rods). All of it inside is interconnected conductivity-wise. Initially I felt better, the I did the floor as well, and felt much worse, then took the floor up again and it's been great ever since. So I don't know how one wall wuold work, I know some here advocate only partial shielding because of the reflection. Where I live there are masts to all directions and not far away either, so I wouldn't even know how to choose a side. :) --- In [hidden email], "xyzxyz12311@..." <xyzxyz12311@...> wrote: > > Hello Kikkie :-) > > I only have one wall covered with aluminum foil, did you experiment with only one wall or did you do them all at once? > > I also moved all the wires in the basement that were under the bedroom and routed them away from that room. In regards to light sensitivity, often when the thyroid is out of balance, it will cause severe light sensitivity. I believe it is why I see so many wearing sun glasses, even when its not bright out. Yes, I used to be like this -- always wearing sunglasses, even on cloudy days. And when I'd be in direct sunlight, I'd get sharp pains in my head. However, after a few years on working on detox and nutrition, all that went away. It seemed like light sensitivity is much easier to fix than electrical sensitivity. (at least in my case). Marc |
