Did an experiment recently and consistently
took alpha lipoic acid for two weeks in hope of reducing my ES symptoms. Just the reverse happened and my symptoms became considerably worse. So questions arise. What was it in ALA that made things worse? What product, if any, will have the opposite affects of ALA, which may make me less ES? What this experiment does prove is that herbs or supplements can affect our ES. I'm currently taking a power tonic, prepared by a holistic nurse, which is helping. I take 1 teaspoon every morning with fish oil along with my own "shake" which is blended veggies and fruits. Power Tonic Ingredients: extractd of power adapt compound 7 precious mushrooms compound tumeric astragalis picrorritza tituja licorice and burdock red root compound in 50% grain alcohol with distilled water vegetable glycerine She charges $175 for 16 Oz. Some of the ingredients I've never heard of. Any ideas how to obtain these things and prepare myself? Anyway, if you want to feel better stay away from you dip shit local MD who calls us psychotic, and see a good, sympathetic holistic practitioner. Eli |

Yes, anything that is a chelator of heavy metals (including ALA) has the potential to make ES symptoms worse. I think some of the symptoms that we call "ES" are simply due to heavy metals in our bodies being mobilized by EMF. So if you take a supplement which does the same thing, your symptoms will be worse. You might find the ALA is helpful if you take it in smaller amounts, or less frequently -- some amount which doesn't overwhelm the system in the short term, but helps remove metals in the long term. Also if you take it at a time when you aren't going to be exposed to large amounts of EMF for the next few hours. I find that I do well with small amounts of NDF (small means 2 drops per day), but if I take anything close to the amount suggested on the label for heavy metal detox, then my ES symptoms get worse. This also seems to fit with Martin Pall's recently published findings that
most people taking his protocol improved on MCS etc, apart from a small group who reacted badly to the supplements containing alpha-lipoic acid, which he attributed to heavy metals mobilisation. Hence he recommended chelation first. However, if chelation causes problems for someone because of low metabolic chemicals, then they need to be sorted as well... I've been chelating for a long time now. And I've chelated for more than a year and half with ALA. ALA is different than cilantro oil in that cilantro oil or juicing cilantro causes the mercury to show up in the urine which means that it is being removed through the kidneys. ALA takes the mercury and other heavy metals out through the bile. Two weeks is about the longest you can go until the symptoms become almost imbearable and you have to stop. But I bet up until that time you felt pretty good, especially if you were doing it according to the Andy Cutler plan. Usually the first time you do it you can do it for that long. If you are really toxic with mercury the next time you do it you will have trouble doing it for the required three days. i don't know what it is like for women but if you are a man there are some things you can do to help relieve the symptoms. I believe the symptoms are so bad because the bile doesn't completely remove the metals and lets go of a lot of it near the prostate area. Rubbing cilantro oil into the prostate area helps with this. Also I have heard that charcoal helps the bile hold on to the toxins and so you can remove them much more efficiently if you use charcoal. with me taking charcoal orally didn't do much good. But inserting the charcoal in half filled caps that don't have the cap on them like a suppository did a lot of good in keeping the prostate feeling well. If you are really toxic the first year or so will be hell. But after a year or a year and a half if you keep at it the symptoms will decrease to the point that you feel normal again while doing a round without a lot of symptoms.

So would you say then that if you have liver problems, taking the cilantro would be better?
I have taken the ALA & gotten pretty sick afterwards.
