airplane travel

angela england
Hello to all,  My wife and I just returned from our first plane trip since she self-diagnosed herself with cs and es.  Amazingly, she did not havemuch ill effects from the radar screening at security nor the fluorescent lights on the plane.  She was mostly affected by laptops and cellphone use of other passengers.  Thank God the cell phones are not allowed during the entire flight.
The most difficult part of the trip was getting the portable oxygen concentrator thru security screening.  She uses oxygen at different timeswhen  emf or chemical emissions are bothersome.  Oxygen works for her for her symptoms, although she had to beg the doctor for the prescription.  The doctor is a doubting Thomas!  I am mentioning all this in case some of you can find relief through use of oxygen.  I know it may not help everyone, but it bears investigation.  It seems to help against emf as much as chemical, although I don't know why.

Yes, other people's "gadgets" can certainly be a problem
-- portable video players and portable gaming devices
can be added to that category.

I have also found oxygen helpful, although I have not
gone the route of using a container. Instead,
there are oxygen supplements which perfectly well for
me. Number one is CELLFOOD, but I also have
also used OXY MOXY. For some people, I think
these may even replace the need for an oxygen device
in some circumstances. Certainly, I've read testimonials
saying this for some products (e.g., "Vitamin O",
although that particular product didn't do anything
for me)

Hi, Mike and Angela,

So happy to hear you got to vacation and it worked fairly well for you, Angela!  Thanks for the info re oxygen.  I have not tried it, personally, but can see why it might help with autonomic symptoms, in particular.

Did I ever mention to you that there is a type of mcs/es that responds to oxygen use?  I have read about it online but have not gotten to check it out with a doctor personally.  This type of mcs/es is caused by carbon monoxide poisoning.  I think I can send a site where I read about it if you want it.  (It might take some real looking to find.  Ask tho, if I didn't share it with you before and I will try to dig it up.)

Glad to hear the oxygen is helping!
Diane
