Dear Angels
what are your thought of wired ethernet tablet ( with wifi turn-off) ? Since it use rechargeable battery & tablet is small screen; would they emit less emf than laptop & PC Ever since the 4G phone mast in my street, I start to feel little dizziness when using the pc. I wonder if a 10" tablet is safer? I have no problem using my kindle keyboard for many hrs. thanks for any input! alice

The only Kindle I ever tried was unbearable even for a few minutes. Meanwhile, I can use my computer for many hours... With tablets, I just worry that you are in closer proximity to the electronics. And the fact that many of them seem to be purely wireless. Which tablets have an ethernet connection? (probably ones that run Microsoft Windows, I'd guess) Marc |
Marc The kindle I have is Kindle 5 keyboard wifi: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amazon-Kindle-3-eReader-WiFi-and-Keyboard-Excellent-Condition-/221175565146#vi-content I only turned on wifi to download files. I read that if the tablet operating system supports ethernet, then they can be used with adaptor ( but I am not too sure about this) but I read that people use the wired ethernet when the wifi signals are weak on their tablets ( especially some chinese brand names) There is a latest & fastest quad core tablet just released from China; this brand is one of the popular brand in China, have good recommendations & high branch mark scores & the price is lot cheaper than famous brands On some sites; the spec says it support driverless ethernet but I can't locate the sites now. But like you said; I am not sure being close to the electonics; I don't have any meter to measure it when I get one. Since I now become more sensitive to my pc now, I am going to try the tablet & see. This model is selling very fast & out of stock from manufacturer. http://www.androidmall.co.uk/pipo-m9-quad-core-rk3188-tablet-pc-android-4-1-10-1-inch-ips-bluetooth-2gb-ram-pipo-max-m9.html http://hongkongeek.co.uk/2-screen/1893-101-pipo-max-m9-rk3188-quad-core-18ghz-android-41-ips-dual-camera-hdmi-2gb-ddr3-bluetooth-16gb.html?redirect=true alice --- In [hidden email], Marc Martin <marc@...> wrote: > Which model of Kindle are you able to use for many hours? Marc here's one site which spec says it supports fast ethernet http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Pipo-M9-10-1-inch-Android-4-1-Quad-Core-Tablet-PC-RK3188-IPS-1280-800-2GB-RAM-16GB-314318.html alice --- In [hidden email], Marc Martin <marc@...> wrote: > Which model of Kindle are you able to use for many hours? Barrie Trower said in one of his interviews mentioning smart phones smart devices , will pass electrons to the fingers when we touch them, I think he means those touch screens.
So even wired ethernet tablets are not good alternative to laptop & PC! > With tablets, I just worry that you are in closer proximity to the electronics. > And the fact that many of them seem to be purely wireless. the same happens when you touch any electrical item I would guess, but
putting your hand on a mouse and the other on the keyboard you are definitely making a circuit with the pc and hence the national grid if its on mains !!!!!!! puk In a message dated 13/03/2013 20:39:20 GMT Standard Time, [hidden email] writes: Barrie Trower said in one of his interviews mentioning smart phones smart devices , will pass electrons to the fingers when we touch them, I think he means those touch screens. you mean even the keyboard & mouse is plastic? in what way we make the circuit? please clarify I am thinking if we wear insulating gloves or any insulating means, & we use a stylus pen to use on the wired tablet; it may stop fingers getting electrons, but then again may still the issue of emf coming from the tablet electronics. alice --- In [hidden email], paulpjc@... wrote: > > the same happens when you touch any electrical item I would guess, but > putting your hand on a mouse and the other on the keyboard you are definitely > making a circuit with the pc and hence the national grid if its on mains > !!!!!!! > > puk >

Hi Paul,
At least the mouse and keyboard are covered with a plastic shell, that keeps fingertips out of contact with the actual circuits inside. As a general rule, I would expect touch screens to be higher in EMR, more electrically active with the extra layers, than an ordinary LCD screen. In addition to the closer proximity to the electronics, and the WiFi, and the cellular exposure. I think tablets should be avoided. induction, of low frequency emr which will travel through your body along
nerves etc, miniscule power levels but the signals are messy/choppy and negative to the body no dougbt. puk In a message dated 3/14/2013 6:11:37 A.M.
