Wi-fi or Ethernet cable?

starmanxxxx
Would I be better off with a router or using the supplied ethernet cable torecive broadband Internet, or buy a mobile broadband `dongle?. As consequenc of Electro magnetic field sensitivity around my desk top PC I had to sell it and replace with laptop a wireless keyboard & mouse. Advice appreciated.

Generally, the advice on this group has always been "wired is better than
wireless". That would apply to your broadband Internet, your keyboard,
and your mouse.

But depending on your sensitivities, you may notice no difference between
wireless and wired, or you may be that rare person (maybe even the first
person here!) to do better with wireless.

Let us know what (if any) differences you notice.

I would stay away from the dongles. I experimented with IR wireless
keyboards
a little...unfortunately the keyboards themselves emit RF. But at least you
are isolated from the dirty power. If you run the laptop on battery you may
find a wired keyboard (possibly with USB extender) is good.
