Hi Diane I found this company a few weeks ago they chrage 300 to shield your laptop maybe you can even get them to reduce the price they also sell radiation free computers and laptops, I wish I could afford this right now, Idbe very interested to hear from anyone who gets their laptops shielded from them.

Hey everyone - I don't want to be a downer on this, but if I'm not mistaken, someone told me that this person (of Safe Level) is quite lacking in his description of "zero" emissions monitors and laptops.

from what you see described on the website, there seems to only be reference made to magnetic fields. His claim of 0.1 or 0.0 milligauss after shielding with mu metal may be true. However, as was pointed out to me, and which believe now that I've thought about it, he doesn't mention (and I assume doesn't address) any other types of EMR, such as RF from processors, possibly hard drives, graphics cards maybe, or electric fields.

So, he does what he says he does, but I think his claim of zero emissions is a bit misleading.

This is as I understand it. If anyone would care to correct me if I'm mistaken, please do. I've already contacted the guy and asked these questions but have yet to hear back from him.

I think the whole issue of sheilding is fraught with imperfections, it
strikes me that every solder joint on any circuit board probably acts like a
mini antenna so massive RF leakage takes place across the board. We must
also not forget the issue of keyboard and mouse which are big emitters and
conduct the rf from the computer right up in front of you. Seal the laptop in
a mu metal box and I will believe that it will not emit beyond the box,
trouble is you can pick up your emails unless you have xray vision !!!
