FYI - There's a short section in K. Crofton's book, Radiation Rescue, called "Experts' Action Plans" and it covers 4 experts' personal action plans-- Martin Blank, Hans Scheiner, William Rea, and Rob Metzinger.
For example, this is one of them: a) No cell phone, b) Corded landlines, c) Electric clock moved away from bed, d) Got rid of dimmer switches, circuits with multiple electric switches on one line, instant-on devices e) Got rid of fluorescent bulbs (RF noise) f) Wired internet via cables g) No microwave oven h) Uses meters to measure EMF at home Here's another one: a) Demand switches, b) Move computer/monitor as far away from users, c) Move AC unit away from children's sleeping areas, d) Shielding curtains e) Shielded power cords f) Replace CFL's/halogens/fluorescents with incandescent g) Replaced dimmer switches h) Replaced spring mattresses i) Battery-operated alarm clock instead of electric j) Battery-operated night light k) Landlines except one analog 900 mhz cordless (note: this older kind of cordless phone is only radiating during usage, as compared to DECT which is always radiating) This is similar to the 11 guidelines that Prevention magazine recommended: http://www.prevention.com/electroshocker/index.shtml |
Shielded power cords only makes sense if the wiring in the
walls is shielded, or there is a cord you have to be near. Anyone have luck with demand switches? The idea is it turns off the voltage on a circuit unless you are using it. There will still be a much lower sensor voltage. But you're adding electronics that are always on, so unless those are very clean it's more likely to be worse... unless you have someone who responds to large 60hz fields but not weaker RF (I suspect it's more often the other way around).
