Vitamin C IV??

furstc0404-2

Am asking this on behalf of someone I know suffering severe EMS/ES, unable to use computers for the last two weeks.

If anyone has tried Vit C IV, and did it help, or worsen, or any reactions?

FNx,

Kooky

Re: Vitamin C IV??

BiBrun
I would sooner try B-12 by IV. Some vitamin C or other antioxidants
would make sense to. I would also suggest "attokinase" and ginkgo.
And definitely P5P (a form of B6).

Re: Vitamin C IV??

Thanks for the info Bruno.

Did you mean nattokinase and gingo by IV??

What are the effects of P5P?  This is the first time I heard
about it.  Have you had those?

Which form of B12 shots did you have?

Make sure it's methyl b-12, not cyanocobalamin.

Good Point. You know they have the Methylcobalamin in sublingual form now. I do the injectables too but is very expensive. Better to do it yourself rather than paying for IV unless you have disposable income. Loni

Hi, Kooky,

P5P is good to take with vit B12 and molybdenum.  The 3 together help your liver process sulfites in foods.  P5P is an active form of B6, called pyridoxal-5-phosphate.  It is required in amino-acid metabolism and is associated with many enzymatic functions in the body. Actually Kooky, for you personally, this would be a very good supplement to try!  I had not thought of it till Bill mentioned it, but it might help you alot with metabolising your food, which you seem not to be able to do well right now.

Best wishes,
Diane

Hi, Loni,

It might.  But it is important that you also take molybdenum and B12 with it.  I could not tolerate wine either (also grapes and various meals with onions, peppers, and tomatoes, etc.)  After taking these, I was able to eat them without getting a migraine headache.  Now, I do nottake these together all the time, but if I get a migraine headache, especially after eating, I head for my supplements and take them.  It will relieve my migraine in 20 to 30 mins.

It may simply just be due to the molybdenum, which is supposed to support
one of the liver sulfation pathways...

Hi, Paul,

I am not sure what you mean.  The molybdenum, P5P, and B12 address liver detox issues.  Are you talking about the "eat right for your type" diet?  I don't go there.  (I personally believe people can do well on it, but I think that diet over simplifies and doesn't address the real reasons why people do well eating particular foods.)  My 2 cents, not that I am going to be upset if you like that diet.  ;)  If it works for you, do it.

Hi Diane!

do you have to take them together; the molybdemun & B12. I take them both but usually separately. The B12 in the day for energy & then minerals at night. Loni

Hi, Kooky,

P5P is good to take with vit B12 and molybdenum.  The 3 together help your liver process sulfites in foods.  P5P is an active form of B6, called pyridoxal-5- phosphate.

Best wishes,
Diane

Thanks for the info Bruno.

Did you mean nattokinase and gingo by IV??

What are the effects of P5P?  This is the first time I heard
about it.  Have you had those?

Which form of B12 shots did you have?

Kooky

I would sooner try B-12 by IV.    Some vitamin C or other antioxidants
would make sense to.  I would also suggest "attokinase" and ginkgo.
And definitely P5P (a form of B6).

Hi, Loni,

Sorry I am just answering.  I have not been home.

No, you don't have to take them together, but you do have to take all the supplements during the same day so that your liver has access to all 3 supplements (re B12, molybdenum, and P5P).  If you don't see a change with your sulfite intolerance, tho, I would personally try taking them together to see if that makes a change.  It could, depending on whether there is a great demand otherwise in your body for one of the supplements.

Sorry again for making you wait on this info,
 Diane

Hi Diane!

do you have to take them together; the molybdemun & B12. I take them both but usually separately. The B12 in the day for energy & then minerals at night. Loni

Hi, Loni,

It might.  But it is important that you
also take molybdenum and B12 with it.  I could not tolerate wine either (also grapes and various meals with onions, peppers, and tomatoes, etc.)  After taking these, I was able to eat them without getting a migraine headache.  Now, I do not take these together all the time, but if I get a migraine headache, especially after eating, I head for my supplementsand take them.  It will relieve my migraine in 20 to 30 mins.

I made a note of this. I cannot drink wine because I can't tolerate the sulfites or food that contains them either. Can regular B6 work?

Hello,
A friend of mine told me ashwaganda helped her with her liver. Has anyone tried it? If so did it help and what brand did you use? I find certain brands are not as potent and don't work with my body.

Thanks!
zil
