Verizon FIOS Modems Updated to Irradiate Against Will

Hi Everyone and thank you for reading.

I want to alert any Verizon FIOS customers to the new update to the firmware of their network extender, model WCB6200Q.

In the Fall of 2017, Verizon dropped their copper network and only offered fiber optic which meant we had to change our setup and equipment if we wanted to continue service through them.

Because this is a four story house, the tech install guy recommended a Network Extender WCB6200Q  which is supposed to be a wireless network adapter, which has an ethernet option we intended only to use.

Strangely though, even after setting up the ethernet only connection through the admin interface, I was still getting a wireless connection on my laptop before switching to my final ethernet-only preference.  How could this be? How could all of the indicators on the admin page of the router tell me that wireless was disabled on every option, yet I was still getting a wireless signal?

For some inexplicable reason, I had to call in to have tech support disable the wireless signal on their end.  It was creepy.

So for all of this time, over a year and a half, we have been able to disable the wireless 2.4 GHz and 5Ghz channels to just use ethernet upstairs.  This was confirmed on the actual extender/router by wireless indicator lights that were OFF.

Every morning I check to make sure that wireless indicator light does not go on when I reboot the modem.  Then one day, April 19th just this past week, it decided for itself to go on, indicating that the 5Ghz channel was active, or at least the antenna for it was.

I hurried to the admin page and again, none of the software settings had changed: all WiFi options were disabled.  Yet that damn indicator light for 5Ghz wireless antenna was still now on.

Between my mother and I, we have attempted to get this resolved with Verizon tech support half a dozen times now, with their support either denying that the extender antenna is active just because the software pages are indicating it's all off, to being baffled when they got into the router to somehow actually confirm that 5Ghz is on as far as the extender is concerned.

But mostly, they are denying that the extender is emitting a wireless signal which I explained I cannot tolerate as electrohypersensitive and to my body, it is intolerable radiation.  Am I correct to assume that as long as that wireless indicator light is on, the connected antenna is emitting wireless radiation?  

It seems like they updated the firmware for their extender to constantly irradiate customers against their will. Why would they do this?  Why would they force you to have that antenna on at all times?

Any ideas how to resolve? What would you do?

I'm sorry to hear this. It sounds more like a bug than anything nefarious. Did you try turning the antennas on in the settings panel and saving it and then going back and turning them back off and saving it again? That will reset the switches and get things working properly again.

It appears that the main reason one one would get this device is for the wireless capability, which you don't want.  So why not just use a cheap wired ethernet switch, which would help you extend your network throughout the house (wired), but doesn't have any wireless in it to worry about?

Hi Shifter, thank you for that idea I have not tried that attempt to reset... will soon thank you.

As for nefarious, one tech person did finally admit that Verizon "must" have updated the firmware for the antenna to act that way.... I am still puzzled why and it just seems so sinister to me. The top level people that make these decisions know well how biologically assaultative their tech can be.

Thank you so much, Marc... I am not very tech savvy and appreciate your solution. Will find something soon to meet these specs.  It's a relief that there is an alternative.. I still want to know why Verizon is forcing this radiation on people now. It is so sickening, emotionally, that this is all escalating.

I think many of the major internet providers these days are providing their customers with modems that have hidden wireless signals.  I know that the default Comcast modem has 5 wireless signals (two 2.4ghz, two 5ghz, and one for home security, whether you need that or not).  So I just don't use their equipment, and provide my own (older, and without wireless capability)

Had something similar happen with xfinity i was using cable for awhile with a seperate modem then the xfinity modem and after using this as an alternative one day they said they needed to update that modem.When I spoke to them they said you can only have one modem after using the seperate cable for awhile.Then tried to disable the wifi online and
they told me you can just use ethernet and you wifi light stayed on.I learned that it’s possible that they want to make cable obsolete and only want users to use wifi.

I was just listening to a talk where Ken Rhola explains how even airplane mode is not "protection" as there is a radio antenna inside phones now that still talks with satellites to give you for instance access to google maps.

Then there is also a scalar frequency constantly emitted he explains that is used for continuous tracking, even in airplane mode.

At least I don't use that junk but still these signals are omnipresent and travel miles and all it takes is a little to do a lot of damage, as is the non-linear effect of EMF (small stimulus, massive impact explained by Dr. Kruse).

That's very disturbing, DTS85 about your xfinity experience.

More evidence that not only is democracy dead in the public, free realm, it's pretty much dead in the consumer realm as well, since they are denying us what we not only want, but need, which is technology that does not kill us or disable us at best.

I do have a few tensor "energy tools" about, allegedly one spans two miles out. (I would share but I don't like to advertise for anyone even if inadvertent... but if you really want to know I would happily.)

He must be talking about the GPS -- however, the phone does not "talk" or "transmit" anything to get GPS data.  In this, the antenna is more like a radio antenna, where it only receives data from satellites.  Of course, people could react to anything, but in this case the phone is not transmitting anything to receive GPS data.
