UV-filtering windows in homes

bluebonnet
Hello,

I am writing on behalf of a severely electrosensitive friend who is wondering about UV-filtering windows in homes.  I see in the archives that UV filtering may help in some cases, but she is concerned whether UV filters in her home windows may affect her adversely.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thank you,
bluebonnet

I feel like for me it's a good idea to get half hour of sunlight
outdoors per day.  If not, I'd rather not have UV filters, so
I can get some UV indoors.

UV filters will not block microwaves unless they are also
low-emissivity (low-E) to block heat.

I think the low-E stuff will block UV as all plastics pretty
much block UV.
