My next door neighbor uses a treadmill at times and my TV was getting jagged lines of static. I bought the Furman line conditioner and it didn't help. Furman suggested I use my cell sensor to see if it picks anything up, which would mean it isn't anything from the electric supply. I already knew it wasn't the cable since I unplugged the Cable Box and it still happened. She hadn't used it in a while but did tonight. I turned on my cell sensor and it picked up a hot spot even 5 feet away from the wall! Ordinarily there is a hot spot close to the TV itself (CRT) but dissipates as I get around 3 feet away from it. It was picking up EMFs at least 2 feet away from the sides of the TV which never happens ordinarily.
So, I guess I'm screwed. I can't ask them not to use it, but I am worried that my TV may get harmed from this, besides it being annoying. Bizarre |
Do you feel something or does it just interfere w the TV? I'll search, but does the cell sensor detects only emfs? Tell me about the line conditioner. We need rewiring so put off the pricey GS units. The Line Conditioner is a Furman PSTD-8. It costs $185 but I got it for 145 on amazon. It really does clean up the TV picture and audio but of course can't do anything for external radiation.
I don't know if I feel anything when the treadmill is being used since i feel kinda lousy anyway, but the readings I got surprised me. It is strong enough to interfere with my TV picture so that is pretty bad. The cell sensor picks up EMFs.
