Tile floor versus Carpet

markkuether
Does anyone find they feel better when they are walking on a tile floor or concrete versus a carpeted floor.  I have observed this many times for myself and it is the damnedest thing.  Thoughts?

I tiled my bathroom floor and I like it much better.  I put hardwood down in my bedroom and put aluminum foil between the hardwood and the old floor which is now the subfloor.  Next time I do some tiling I'll likely put either aluminum foil or sheet metal under the hardi-backer.   I've learned that anytime I use sheet metal I also want to cover it with carbon fiber vinyl.  It has a very relaxing effect.

Carpet is not good for many reasons - chemicals and static electricity.

The only good carpet would be 100% natural such as wool, and entirely chemical-free. I like tile and wood, tho if I could, I'd have at least one area in the house that was a solarium or something with concrete, dirt, and rocks on the floor and a skylight for nature and grounding!!

Also tile differs depending on the minerals it comes with and glaze or not! Wood, too.. depending on all the variables of real wood, veneers, chemicals, sealants, etc.
