Microwave ovens are not banned in Russia... that's one of those myths you
read on the Internet. That doesn't stand up if you actually go to Russia
and go shopping for a Microwave oven. :-)

Do you suffer from "skimmeritis" like me? That's where you skim through the plethora of new on websites, but don't actually read an article through.

Here's what the article said about microwaves being banned in Russia:

"In Russia, microwave ovens were banned in 1976 because of their negative health consequences as many studies were conducted on their use. The ban was lifted after Perestroika in the early 90’s.

Actually, I think I only read the title. So that's even worse than "skimmeritis".... :-)
