There is an EMF spike protruding from my ceiling.

I've got this cheapo EMF detector that has been somewhat helpful. Eventually, I will buy a nice one. But in a room I am in I've noticed a foot wide spike of EMF frequency that protudes from the ceiling approximately 5 feet downward. I am glad I noticed it, because I've set my computer desk near it and I want to try and avoid it now that I know it's there.

I have not ventured into the attic to see what may be up there, but my presumption is that it may be a dirty electricity junction box in the ceiling for the overhead fan/light.

To be honest, I think the house I am in is very dirty with electricity as this is where I have noticed I am sensitive to EMF the last couple months.

Anyone have any ideas what this spike may be?

What frequencies is it on IE find it on a very cheap AM FM radio. You need to have a look. Possibly you can wrap ali foil around it.  You can use the radio to find other sources of dirt.  Filter you phone line with adsl filters or ferrite chokes,  to keep out MWs assuming you are not making them your self. Tell me how much much the radio picks up on all frequencies.
