I'm not sure there are best makes.  As there can be huge difference depending on how a laptop is configured or how you use it or set it up.  I think historically you see people having good success with Lenovo and Dell.  But nothing too fancy, you probably don't want some gaming video chipset or the latest/fastest CPU.

I was about to ask if everyone was alright... It seemed like we all signed off on the same day, so maybe there's 'something in the air.'
