Hi, all. I took 1500 mg. (three 500 mg. doses) of ciprofloxacin for some kissing beetle &/or spider bites that almost killed me over the last few weeks. I have a history of severe chronic Lyme (since age 8), mold illness, & resulting environmental illness (esp. electromagnetic hypersensitivity, which has greatly affected my brain, CNS, & connective tissue). The ER docs that treated me on Sat. did NOT give me any instructions on the drug I was taking, gave me 1 pill of it & I had the rest of the Rx filled the following day. I was too sick to ask questions, & spent 45 consecutive min. in direct sunlight the following day. I also have SEVERE TMJD (arthritis & capsulitis in the jawbone) & a lot of dental decay from the Lyme, Bartonella, other co-infections, etc. Electromagnetic hypersensitivity already did a lot of damage to my connective tissue, so I'm somewhat concerned about tendonitis from the Cipro, esp. since my right shoulder, right knee, & right
foot, right side of neck, & joints in general are hurting more than usual, some of them wrenching painfully since a few hours after my 2nd dose of Cipro yesterday. I only took 1500 mg. total of the Cipro; is this even enuf to cause or even increase risk of tendonitis? If so, are there any preventive measures I can take to prevent it from getting worse/ prevent full-blown &/or permanent tendonitis? My Lyme is very advanced, & the infection & inflammation run very deep & systemically. High-risk patients on ciprofloxacin are those w/ gout, rheumatoid arthritis, on corticosteroids, dialysis patients & organ transplant patients.
BTW: I have SOME vitamin C. powder, lavender essential oil, nettles, usnea moss, & am placing the north side of my magnet against my skin, to make my cells less penetrable & hopefully reset the spin. Any other suggestions/insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much :)
Love & blessings,
E. Drew
