I have purchased the DVD of Take Back Your Power. It was very well put together, but their focus was mainly on the wireless smart meters which leaves out a whole lot of us whose power companies are using power line communication (PLC, PLT, B-PLC) smart meters(ing) which are fully two-way communication meters usually controlled by software of Aclara TWACS or Turtle, TS2. PLC meters are called "wired" however the TWACS meters have antennas in them to communicate wirelessly with gas & water smart meters and eventually other appliances in the home. Some anti-smart meter groups have said that they wished that their power companies would use wired meters.

What happens if wired meters are chosen for smart metering? In the words of Dr. Samuel Milham, author of "Dirty Electricity: Electrification and the Diseases of Civilization", smart metering is accomplished by either two ways - by pulsing RF into the air or pulsing RF into the utility wiring. For some reason, only the meters that pulse the RF into the air are getting all the attention and they've forgotten about those of us suffering from the RF from the communication pulses on our home's wiring which was never intended for communication as are shielded cables with twisted wires used for computers and cable TV. And the utilities which use PLC are telling their customers that because their meters don't rely on wireless communication that their PLC meters/system is safe.

Both digital meters are bad news for our health and privacy. I have been able to help people shield themselves from the radiation of wireless smart meters, but it's impossible to shield yourself from the pulsing on the wiring in your home unless you're fortunate enough to have your wiring in metal conduit which isn't the case for most homes which have plain Romex wiring.
