Swiss Shield fabric shielding.........

K Lamia
Hi E-Sens List Members,

I haven't been able to contribute to the list for quite some time owing to
my ES effecting my energy and concentration everyday. In order to try and
get a bit better I'm trying buy some Swiss Shield silver netting to go over
my bed or as a wall shield. I've looked at the UK "Powerwatch's" online
shop. There shielding appears good but very expensive. I've looked on Google
and found some European websites that so Swiss Shield and similar fabrics
(below) which are in German or another foreign language (but I don't know if
these can ship to the UK, I will have to e-mail them and hope they
understand English), has anyone ordered from the sites below or can anyone
reccommend any other European websites?

I'm looking for a good value/ good quality source of silver shielding fabric
and/or carbon shielding paint. I would prefer Swiss Shield since I know this
is good quality. I'm trying to find somewhere in Europe who is cheaper than
"Powerwatch" owing to limited funds. I can't have it shipped from the US or
outside the EU, since this would incur high import taxes that I can't
afford. Sorry I haven't been able to join in the list discussions, I'm
hoping some silver fabric will mean I can sleep better at night and be more
comfortable during the day.
sincerely
Rachel (in the UK).

Building biologists are against all canopies around beds, no matter which
material one is using.
It is only a temporary solution, or for people who travel a lot.

As a canopy, your body is too close to the material, and there may occur
unwanted couplings from electrical fields.
The atmosphere inside gets for many people oppressed.
Many people who have bought canopies, which are costly, did get them away
after several weeks.

It is much better in shielding walls and windows, but only after good
measuring, because, otherwise one may expirience unwanted reflections.
Be also aware, that 100 % shielding does not exist. So, with all shielding
materials, something is coming through.

With shielding we talk about dB as a factor, not in %.

Diamant texture shields ca 20 dB
Swiss Shield 30
Paint, some 40 dB

As an alternative, *the poor-mans solution*, one may use *safety blankets*.
They are sold in camping shops. 2.20 x 1.60 m for ca 4 Euro.
It contains of a polyester film, where metal is damped on.
On side silver, one side gold.
One can glue them with double sided adhasive tape against the drapes in the
bedroom, with the golden site outwards.

Look at www.priggen.com , Online-shop, Abschirmung, Abschirmmaterial
