Sticky thread on ES-forum?

Romana
Why doesn't this forum has a sticky thread, with all the vital information on this forum summed up?
It would have saved the newcomers and also people who have been here a while a lot of hassle and health. The forum is almost 20 years old and it takes weeks to read evertything..

I think different people have different ideas about what is vital information.  Also, for every problem there seems to be multiple, sometimes contradictory, viewpoints on what one should and shouldn't do.

The forum does have a "search" function, which I think helps a great deal.  Probably much easier to find something here than on one of the ES Facebook groups.

I suspect if you want a high level summary/introduction, you might be better off buying a book or finding a web page/site on the subject.

And here is a fairly recent book on the subject:

But, the forum does have the ability to create a "pinned" post, so if someone wants to write something up and people agree it's good, we could make one.  We have the technology.  :-)
